LDA looks to ease bylaws for construction industry
Lahore: In order to facilitate the construction industry, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to amend the bylaws, as reported by the news sources.
For this purpose, a draft has been prepared with revisions and it is now awaiting approval. The decision was taken after Prime Minister Imran Khan issued the instruction to the concerned authorities to facilitate the construction sector (now industry) in the country. Besides updating the bylaws, LDA has also started development work in various localities of the city.
As per the sources, the LDA Governing Body is expected to take important decisions in its next meeting. The proposal of building street structures to further facilitate the builders will also be reviewed in this meeting. According to the existing regulations, a building can be built using RCC materials only.
