On Tuesday 3 November 2026 at 10:00 am, the Lahore Development Authority will auction 109 plots at the Expo Centre, Johar Town, Lahore: 45 residential and 64 commercial. The cheapest residential plot starts at about Rs 5.55 million. The opportunity is real, but only for a bidder who can pay on LDA's dates. This guide sets out what is on offer, what to bring, what to pay and when, and the five terms that catch bidders out.
Figures here come from LDA's three auction adverts, dated 11 October 2026, and its terms, added on 19 October 2026, as read on 20 October 2026. LDA warns published areas and prices may contain errors, so check the exact plot with Directorate Housing-X, Johar Town, before you bid.
## The residential plots: five schemes, Rs 850,000 to Rs 3.5 million a marla
The 45 residential plots cover Johar Town, LDA City, LDA Enclave, Jubilee Town and Tajpura, from Rs 850,000 a marla in LDA City to Rs 3.5 million a marla in Tajpura. Corner plots cost more than the plot next door, often by about Rs 200,000 a marla.
Johar Town dominates the list, with 31 plots from 3.44 to 20 marla at Rs 1.85 million to Rs 3.2 million a marla. LDA City offers five larger plots, from 7.48 to 40 marla at Rs 850,000 to Rs 1.5 million a marla, including two 40 marla plots starting at Rs 52 million and Rs 60 million in total.
The entry point is LDA Enclave, Block D: four 3 marla plots at Rs 1.85 million a marla, or about Rs 5.55 million each. Jubilee Town adds two 5.03 marla plots at Rs 1.6 million to Rs 1.9 million a marla, and Tajpura three plots at Rs 1.95 million to Rs 3.5 million a marla.
## The commercial plots: 64 lots, from a small shop site to a Rs 1.14 billion plot
The 64 commercial lots span ten schemes, from a 0.40 marla shop site in Quaid-e-Azam Town to a 175.40 marla Finance and Trade Centre plot. The highest starting price is Rs 14 million a marla at Jinnah Market.
Johar Town has eight commercial lots, including three Finance and Trade Centre plots at Rs 6.5 million to Rs 7.9 million a marla. LDA City has eight 4 marla lots at Rs 11 million a marla, and LDA Avenue One eight lots, most near 4.8 marla at Rs 8.5 million to Rs 10 million a marla. Quaid-e-Azam Town and Township have 11 lots, Sabzazar ten at Rs 3.2 million to Rs 5 million a marla, Jubilee Town seven including two apartment sites of 60 and 80 marla, Allama Iqbal Town four at Rs 6.1 million a marla, and Mustafa Town, Gujjarpura and Tajpura eight between them at Rs 2 million to Rs 2.7 million a marla.
Five commercial lots start above Rs 100 million: the two Jubilee Town apartment sites and the three Finance and Trade Centre plots, including a 175.40 marla plot starting at Rs 1.14 billion.
## How payment works: 10% to bid, 20% in 15 days, the rest in 60 days
To bid, deposit at least 10% of the plot's starting price as earnest money, in cash or by pay order at the bank booth on site. Cheques are not accepted. Bring three copies of your CNIC, and make the pay order in favour of "LDA UD-Wing". Unsuccessful bidders get their money back the same day, and a rejected highest bidder is refunded, preferably within 15 days of the rejection letter.
The winner then pays 20% within 15 days of the auction, holidays included, after adjusting the earnest money already paid. For a plot under Rs 100 million, the other 80% is due within 60 days of LDA's bid acceptance letter. Example: Johar Town plot 215, Block R-II, is 5 marla at Rs 3 million a marla, starting at Rs 15 million, with earnest money of Rs 1.6 million. Win at that price and you pay Rs 1.4 million more within 15 days, then Rs 12 million within 60 days of the acceptance letter.
Plots costing Rs 100 million or more get quarterly instalments instead: 2 years up to Rs 1,000 million, 3 years up to Rs 2,000 million, and 4 years above that. Pay the whole 80% by the first instalment date and LDA refunds 5% of the total cost. Late payment costs 1.45% a month for up to 90 days, or Rs 174,000 a month on Rs 12 million. After 90 days the bid is cancelled and 20% is forfeited, although LDA may revive it within three months if you pay everything due plus 3%.
## Five rules bidders most often miss
First, taxes are on you: advance income tax, stamp duty and TMA tax, plus any other government levy, on top of the bid.
Second, a single bid needs 5% more. If you are the only bidder, LDA may accept only an offer at least 5% above the starting price.
Third, the undertaking is due with the 20%, on non-judicial stamp paper, naming anyone you bid for. Check the e-stamp paper is genuine.
Fourth, you must build in 3 years, from the allotment letter, or from physical possession if LDA cannot hand over within six weeks.
Fifth, plots are sold "as is, where is". If the real area differs from the advert, you pay for the actual area, so visit the plot before the auction. Possession comes after full payment, although early possession is possible after 20% with a bank guarantee, and you will need LDA building plan approval before you build.

Tuesday 3 November 2026 at 10:00 am at the Expo Centre, Johar Town, Lahore.

## The bottom line
The LDA auction is straightforward about price and strict about time. Know your plot, know your total cost including taxes, have your earnest money as a pay order in favour of "LDA UD-Wing", bring three CNIC copies, and only bid an amount you can complete within 15 days and 60 days. The most expensive mistake is winning a plot you cannot pay for.
