Strategy Finalized by FBR to Recover PKR 4,398 bn in Taxes

As per the reports, the strategy will be implemented immediately and the recovery will be made in the current tax year. For this purpose, the Commissioners Inland Revenue has been given special tasks to meet the targets and generate the desired results.

During the meeting, it was also finalized that special instructions will be issued to establish a mechanism for the purpose of the collection and submission of withholding taxes into the national treasury. The meeting took place in FBR Headquarters and Chief Commissioners Inland Revenue attended the meeting spearheaded by Chairman of the Board Mr. Jahanzaib Khan.

Sources have confirmed that the movie came out as a result of the speech made by the Finance Minister Asad Umer in the national assembly where he mentioned in strong words that non-filers will not be allowed to evade taxes and the government intends to go after them at all costs.
