Vehicle’s sans fitness certificates barred from entering Lahore

According to the news sources, due to the bad rate of Air Quality Index AQI in Lahore city. Punjab police have taken another step to stop the vehicles which are causing pollution to enter Lahore.

For the vehicles to enter Lahore now need a proper certification which is issued by the Vehicle Inspection and Certificate System (VICS).

According to the news sources, the relief commissioner states that Lahore’s AQI was fluctuating from “satisfactory” to “poor” levels, which is likely to cause breathing discomfort, respiratory tract, and heart diseases amongst people of all age brackets.

The Punjab cabinet has previously declared smog as a disaster.

While talking to the media, He says that manual vehicle inspections shall be suspended for three months till March 22 next across Punjab. All public service vehicles will now be required to obtain fitness certificates from the respective VICSW stations.

The traffic police have been asked to impound the documents of public service vehicles found playing without valid fitness certificates and forward the same to the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) secretary concerned for release after verification of their fitness certificates.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق لاہور شہر میں ایئر کوالٹی انڈیکس اے کیو آئی کی خراب شرح کے باعث پنجاب پولیس نے لاہور میں آلودگی پھیلانے و��لی گاڑیوں کو روکنے کے لیے ایک اور قدم اٹھا لیا ہے۔
گاڑیوں کو لاہور میں داخل ہونے کے لیے اب ایک مناسب سرٹیفیکیشن کی ضرورت ہوگی جو وہیکل انسپکشن اینڈ سرٹیفکیٹ سسٹم (وی آئ سی ایس) کے ذریعے جاری کیا جاتا ہے۔
خبر کے ذرائع کے مطابق، ریلیف کمشنر کا کہنا ہے کہ لاہور کا (ای کیو آئ) "اطمینان بخش" سے "خراب" سطح پر اتار چڑھاؤ آرہا ہے، جس سے ہر عمر کے لوگوں میں سانس لینے میں تکلیف، سانس کی نالی اور دل کی بیماریاں ہونے کا خدشہ ہے۔
پنجاب کابینہ اس سے قبل سموگ کو آفت قرار دے چکی ہے۔
میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے ان کا کہنا تھا کہ پنجاب بھر میں اگلے 22 مارچ تک گاڑیوں کی دستی جانچ پڑتال تین ماہ کے لیے معطل رہے گی۔ تمام پبلک سروس گاڑیوں کو اب متعلقہ (وی آئ سی ایس ڈبلیو) اسٹیشنوں سے فٹنس سرٹیفکیٹ حاصل کرنے کی ضرورت ہوگی۔
ٹریفک پولیس سے کہا گیا ہے کہ وہ پبلک سروس گاڑیوں کے کاغذات ضبط کر لیں جو درست فٹنس سرٹیفکیٹ کے بغیر چلتی ہیں اور متعلقہ ریجنل ٹرانسپورٹ اتھارٹی (آر ٹی اے) کے سیکرٹری کو ان کے فٹنس سرٹیفکیٹس کی تصدیق کے بعد رہائی کے لیے بھیج دیں۔
