Vaccination desk to set up at UVAS

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with the Punjab Health Department has set up a COVID-19 vaccination desk at City Campus.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Nasim Ahmad visited the vaccination desk set up in the Seminar Room of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology while a large number of UVAS staff members and students were also present on the occasion.

Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad appreciated the support of the Punjab government and said that teachers, administrative staff and students of the UVAS would receive free vaccination at the desk and promote the message that everyone should get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Similar COVID-19 vaccination desks have also been established at other campuses of UVAS, including Ravi Campus Pattoki, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Jhang and Khan Bahadur Chaudhary Mushtaq Ahmad Para-Veterinary College Narowal.

Meanwhile, the UVAS Lahore in collaboration with the International Veterinary Students Association (IVSA) Pakistan organized a consultative session on professionalism with young vets. Quality Operation Laboratory Director Prof Dr. Irshad Hussain delivered a motivational lecture to UVAS students.

VC Prof Dr. Nasim Ahmad also attended the lecture while a large number of students and faculty members were present. Prof Dr. Nasim Ahmad urged the DVM students for pre-internship related to their field in livestock, poultry, and dairy industry to learn innovative and latest practical knowledge, techniques, and skills to excel in their fields.

لاہور: یونیورسٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز لاہور میں ویکسی نیشن ڈیسک قائم کردیا گیا ہے۔ یونیورسٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز (یو وی اے ایس) لاہور نے محکمہ صحت پنجاب کے تعاون سے سٹی کیمپس میں ایک کوویڈ ۔19 ویکسینیشن ڈیسک قائم کیا ہے۔ یوویاس کے ��ائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسیم احمد نے شعبہ فارماسولوجی اور زہریلا کے سیمینار روم میں قائم ویکسی نیشن ڈیسک کا دورہ کیا جبکہ اس موقع پر یووی اے ایس اسٹاف ممبران ، طلباء بھی بڑی تعداد میں موجود تھے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسیم احمد نے حکومت پنجاب کی حمایت کو سراہا ، اور کہا کہ اساتذہ ، انتظامی عملہ اور یو وی اے ایس کے طلباء میز پر مفت ویکسینیشن حاصل کریں گے اور اس مساج کو فروغ دیں گے کہ ہر ایک کو کوڈ 19 کے خلاف ٹیکے لگائیں۔ اسی طرح کے COVID-19 ویکسینیشن ڈیسک بھی UVAS کے دوسرے کیمپسوں میں قائم کیا گیا ہے ، جن میں روی کیمپس پتوکی ، ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز جھنگ اور خان بہادر چوہدری مشتاق احمد پارہ ویٹرنری کالج نارووال شامل ہیں۔ دریں اثنا ، یو وی اے ایس لاہور نے انٹرنیشنل ویٹرنری اسٹوڈنٹس ایسوسی ایشن (IVSA) پاکستان کے اشتراک سے نوجوان ویگٹ کے ساتھ پیشہ ورانہ مہارت سے متعلق ایک مشاورتی اجلاس کا انعقاد کیا۔ کوالٹی آپریشن لیبارٹری کے ڈائرکٹر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ارشاد حسین نے یو وی اے ایس کے طلبا کو ایک حوصلہ افزائی لیکچر دیا۔ وی سی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسیم احمد نے بھی لیکچر میں شرکت کی جبکہ طلباء ، اور فیکلٹی ممبران کی ایک بڑی تعداد موجود تھی۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسیم احمد نے ڈی وی ایم طلباء پر زور دیا کہ وہ لائیو سٹاک ، پولٹری اور ڈیری انڈسٹری میں اپنے فیلڈ سے متعلق پہلے سے انٹرنشپ اپنائیں تاکہ اپنے شعبوں میں اعلی کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ کرنے کے لئے جدید اور جدید ترین عملی علم ، تکنیک اور مہارت سیکھیں۔
