Up-gradation work on District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital Abbottabad starts

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani directed Communication, and Works (C&W) department to immediately start up-gradation, and reconstruction work on District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital Abbottabad as the government has given A category status to the hospital.

Leading over a high-level meeting held here under the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, he clarified to the officials of the Health Department, and C&W that Abbottabad Hospital has now got the status of category A so its building should also be upgraded to category A.

He issued instructions that the five buildings which are in bad condition should be demolished immediately before any natural calamity could happen.

Commissioner Hazara Riaz Mehsud, Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Mois Sanaullah, Special Secretary Health Dr. Farooq Jamil, officials of C&W Department, MS DHQ Abbottabad Dr. Amir Israr, and other officers attended the meeting.

The speaker further said that there is a long distance between the operation theater, and wards which are causing great inconvenience to the surgery patients, therefore both the Operation Theater and wards should be shifted to the same building for the convenience of the patients.

He said that the condition of Children’s Hospital was very deteriorated, and he himself has had several meetings with the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regarding the reconstruction and up-gradation of the hospital.

یہاں صوبائی اسمبلی سکریٹریٹ کے ماتحت منعقدہ ایک اعلی سطحی اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے ، انہوں نے محکمہ صحت ، اور سی اینڈ ڈبلیو کے عہدیداروں کو واضح کیا کہ ایبٹ آباد اسپتال کو اب اے کیٹیگری اے کا درجہ مل گیا ہے لہذا اس کی عمارت کو بھی زمرہ اے میں درجہ بندی کرنی چاہئے۔

انہوں نے ہدایات جاری کیں کہ پانچوں عمارتیں جن کی حالت خراب ہے کو فوری طور پر منہدم کردیا جائے اس سے پہلے کہ کوئی قدرتی آفات پیش آئے۔

کمشنر ہزارہ ریاض محسود ، ڈپٹی کمشنر ایبٹ آباد معیس ثناء اللہ ، اسپیشل سیکرٹری صحت ڈاکٹر فاروق جمیل ، محکمہ سی اینڈ ڈبلیو ، ایم ایس ڈی ایچ کیو ایبٹ آباد ڈاکٹر عامر اسرار ، اور دیگر افسران نے اجلاس میں شرکت کی۔

اسپیکر کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ آپریشن تھیٹر ، اور وارڈوں کے مابین ایک لمبا فاصلہ ہے جس کی وجہ سے سرجری کے مریضوں کو بڑی تکلیف ہو رہی ہے ، لہذا آپریشن تھیٹر ، اور وارڈ دونوں کو مریضوں کی سہولت کے لئے ایک ہی عمارت میں منتقل کیا جانا چاہئے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ چلڈرن اسپتال کی حالت بہت خراب ہوئی تھی ، اور انہوں نے خود ہی وزیر اعلی خیبر پختونخوا سے اسپتال کی تعمیر نو اور اپ گریڈیشن کے حوالے سے متعدد ملاقاتیں کیں۔
