Under-21 Games to start in Peshawar today

Around 5,000 athletes from all 35 districts are participating in 10 different disciplines.

According to the news sources, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan is probable to inaugurate the games today (Monday).

The U-21 Games will start on Monday and will continue for five days. All preparations in this connection have been given final touches by the Directorate General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The accommodation was provided to all players of 35 districts in various hotels across Peshawar. Director Operation Syed Saqlain Shah said counters for the players had been established where they would receive their kits and transportation and other allowances in front of cameras.

The players in the past had complaints about TA/DA and receipt of kits. They are now provided with kits and other items in the existence of the officials of the Directorate General. He added

He said services of various associations have been secured for professionally organizing the games. Various committees have also been constituted by the KP government to ensure facilities for the players.

According to news sources, Under-21 Games include Judo, Karate, Wushu, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Hockey, and Basketball.

انڈر 21 گیمز پیر سے شروع ہوں گے اور پانچ روز تک جاری رہیں گے۔ اس سلسلے میں ڈائریکٹوریٹ جنرل سپورٹس خیبرپختونخوا کی جانب سے تمام تیاریوں کو حتمی شکل دے دی گئی ہے۔
پشاور کے مختلف ہوٹلوں میں 35 اضلاع کے تمام کھلاڑیوں کو رہائش فراہم کی گئی۔ ڈائریکٹر آپریشن سید ثقلین شاہ نے کہا کہ کھلاڑیوں کے لیے کاؤنٹر قائم کیے گئے ہیں جہاں وہ کیمروں کے سامنے اپنی کٹس اور ٹرانسپورٹیشن اور دیگر الاؤنس وصول کریں گے۔
ماضی میں کھلاڑیوں کو (ٹی اے/ڈی اے) اور کٹس کی وصولی کی شکایات تھیں۔ انہیں اب ڈائریکٹوریٹ جنرل کے عہدیداروں کی موجودگی میں کٹس اور دیگر اشیاء فراہم کی جاتی ہیں۔ اس نے شامل کیا
انہوں نے کہا کہ کھیلوں کے پیشہ ورانہ انعقاد کے لیے مختلف ایسوسی ایشنز کی خدمات حاصل کی گئی ہیں۔ کے پی حکومت کی جانب سے کھلاڑیوں کو سہولیات کی فراہمی کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے مختلف کمیٹیاں بھی تشکیل دی گئی ہیں۔
خبر رساں ذرائع کے مطابق انڈر 21 گیمز میں جوڈو، کراٹے، ووشو، تائیکوانڈو، ٹیبل ٹینس، ویٹ لفٹنگ، ریسلنگ، ہاکی اور باسکٹ بال شامل ہیں۔
