Karachi: The UK business persons have been invited to invest in the public sector of Karachi by Sharjeel Memon categorizing the city as an ideal location for investment, reported a news source.
The invitation was given during a meeting which was attended by a delegation of the British Commission, led by Batool Zehra. The delegation comprised the second secretary and trade manager of the UK’s diplomatic mission in Pakistan. During the meeting, Memon highlighted the significantly better conditions in Karachi, presenting a vast amount of new investment opportunities. Furthermore, he revealed that the Sindh Government has been striving hard to introduce public transport systems in the city.
Recent commuting projects such as the People’s Bus Service were also discussed, and it was revealed that the government had categorized them as high-priority projects. Furthermore, the standards of the bus services are intended to be increased up to the European standards. S.
He said the Chief Minister had sanctioned the release of Rs.1.5 billion to upgrade the road infrastructure of Karachi. The upgradation will be targeting specific routes designated for the People’s Bus Service.
