Tree plantation launched in Charsadda

The mass tree plantation was launched at a ceremony, which was attended by provincial Law Minister Fazal Shakoor Khan, Minister for Mine and Minerals Arif Ahmadzai, former minister Sultan Muhammad Khan, Commissioner Peshawar Riaz Mehsud, and officials of district administration.

The participants planted saplings to formally inaugurate the mass tree plantation. Speaking on the occasion, they said that the previous governments had never bothered to take steps for controlling pollution and environmental degradation in the country.

They said that the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government had taken climate change as a challenge and every year billions of trees were being planted across the country.

The speakers said that the government had prepared a contingency plan for tree plantation and the subsequent look after of trees to ensure the growth of trees.

They said that the tree plantation would bring a green revolution and put positive impacts on the environment.

بڑے پیمانے پر درخت لگانے کی تقریب کا آغاز کیا گیا جس میں صوبائی وزیر قانون فضل شکور خان ، وزیر کان اور معدنیات عارف احمد زئی ، سابق وزیر سلطان محمد خان ، کمشنر پشاور ریاض محسود اور ضلعی انتظامیہ کے حکام نے شرکت کی۔

شرکاء نے بڑے پیمانے پر درخت لگانے کا باقاعدہ افتتاح کرنے کے لیے پودے لگائے۔ اس موقع پر انہوں نے کہا کہ سابقہ حکومتوں نے ملک میں آلودگی اور ماحولیاتی انحطاط کو کنٹرول کرنے کے لیے اقدامات کرنے کی کبھی زحمت نہیں کی۔

ان کا کہنا تھا کہ موجودہ پاکستان تحریک انصاف کی حکومت نے موسمیاتی تبدیلی کو ایک چیلنج کے طور پر لیا ہے اور ہر سال ملک بھر میں اربوں درخت لگائے ��ا رہے ہیں۔

مقررین نے کہا کہ حکومت نے درختوں کی افزائش کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے درخت لگانے اور بعد میں درختوں کی دیکھ بھال کے لیے ایک ہنگامی منصوبہ تیار کیا ہے۔

ان کا کہنا تھا کہ درخت لگانے سے سبز انقلاب آئے گا اور ماحول پر مثبت اثرات مرتب ہوں گے۔
