Tree Plantation drive starts at Lahore GPO

Postmaster General (PMG) Punjab Khwaja Imran Raza inaugurated the tree plantation drive by planting a sapling at the General Post Office (GPO) building, in connection with the week-long Independence Day celebrations.

He also inaugurated a philately exhibition for the public at GPO. Leading philatelists, along with the president of the Philatelic Association, attended the event.

The PMG appreciated the efforts of the Philately Association and distributed certificates among them.

He said Pakistan Post always fulfilled its national obligations in letter and spirit through making delivery of mail-in severe weather conditions.

Later, he visited different sections of the GPO and reviewed the performance of staff.

Senior officials of the Pakistan Post and a large number of employees were also present.

پوسٹ ماسٹر جنرل (پی ایم جی) پنجاب خواجہ عمران رضا نے ہفتہ بھر یوم آزادی کی تقریبات کے سلسلے میں جنرل پوسٹ آفس (جی پی او) کی عمارت میں پودا لگا کر شجرکاری مہم کا افتتاح کیا۔

انہوں نے جی پی او میں عوام کے لیے فلسفی نمائش کا افتتاح بھی کیا۔

پی ایم جی نے فلیٹلی ایسوسی ایشن کی کاوشوں کو سراہا اور ان میں اسناد تقسیم کیں۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان پوسٹ نے شدید موسمی حالات میں ڈاک کی ترسیل کے ذریعے ہمیشہ اپنی قومی ذمہ داریوں کو حرف بہ حرف پورا کیا۔

بعد ازاں انہوں نے جی پی او کے مختلف سیکشنز کا دورہ کیا اور عملے کی کارکردگی کا جائزہ لیا۔
پاکستان پوسٹ کے اعلیٰ حکام اور ملازمین کی بڑی تعداد بھی موجود تھی۔
