Traders Condemn Recent Hike in Property valuation by FBR

According to the news sources, (RCCI) President Nadeem Rauf said that the increase in property valuation by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is excessive and unacceptable. ‘The FBR’s move of new market value for an immovable property of 40 major cities was equivalent to stalling the country’s economy and suspending business activities’, says a press release.

While talking to the media, RCCI President Nadeem Rauf also said that the value of the property has been increased by 100 percent to 600 percent through an SRO. With the proposed increase in taxes and valuation, the registry of Rs500,000 will now go up to Rs2.5 million.

President RCCI Nadeem Rauf further said that FBR’s move is also extremely against the government’s ongoing project “Naya Pakistan Housing Project”

He also added that Construction material has already become expensive. The prices of cement, bricks and sanitary materials have tripled in a year. With the proposed SRO, the construction industry will decline.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق (آر سی سی آئی) کے صدر ندیم رؤف نے کہا کہ فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو (ایف بی آر) کی جانب سے پراپرٹی ویلیوایشن میں اضافہ زیادتی اور ناقابل قبول ہے۔ ایک پریس ریلیز میں کہا گیا ہے کہ 'ایف بی آر کا 40 بڑے شہروں کی غیر منقولہ جائیداد کے لیے نئی مارکیٹ ویلیو کا اقدام ملک کی معیشت کو ٹھپ کرنے اور کاروباری سرگرمیاں معطل کرنے کے مترادف ہے۔'
میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے آر سی سی آئی کے صدر ندیم رؤف نے بھی کہا کہ ایس آر او کے ذریعے جائیداد کی قیمت میں 100 فیصد سے 600 فیصد تک اضافہ کیا گیا ہے۔ ٹیکسز اور ویلیوایشن میں مجوزہ اضافے سے 500,000 روپے کی رجسٹری اب 25 لاکھ روپے تک پہنچ جائے گی۔

صدر آر سی سی آئی ندیم رؤف نے مزید کہا کہ ایف بی آر کا یہ اقدام حکومت کے جاری منصوبے ’’نیا پاکستان ہاؤسنگ پروجیکٹ‘‘ کے بھی انتہائی خلاف ہے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ تعمیراتی سامان پہلے ہی مہنگا ہو چکا ہے۔ سیمنٹ، اینٹوں اور سینیٹری میٹریل کی قیمتیں ایک سال میں تین گنا بڑھ گئی ہیں۔ مجوزہ ایس آر او سے تعمیراتی صنعت زوال پذیر ہوگی۔
