Total investment in projects of PM`s construction package reaches Rs493b

Federal Board of Revenue’s Policy Wing gave a detailed briefing to the Chairman Federal Board of Revenue, Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed about the progress made on the Prime Minister’s Relief Package for the Construction Industry.

Member IR Policy assisted by Chief IR Policy informed the chairman that so far 1321 persons have registered themselves through the online system of FBR in 2125 projects.

Out of these registered projects, 1775 are new projects whereas 350 are existing projects. The total declared investment made in these registered projects comes to Rs. 493 Billion. 

PM’s Construction Package was introduced through Tax Laws (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 on 19th April 2020. The salient features of the package include fixed tax for builders and developers, immunity from probes,s, and concessions from withholding of taxes.

FBR has provided all the required facilitation to the beneficiaries of the package which includes the establishment of a dedicated web page, a dedicated email to address inquiries, and an online step-by-step guide for the builders and developers.

Besides, a comprehensive set of FAQs for potential buyers and investors was developed which is available on the FBR website.

Moreover, wide publicity through media campaigns was also done to maximize the gains of this relief package.

فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو کے پالیسی ونگ نے چیئرمین فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو ڈاکٹر محمد اشفاق احمد کو وزیر اعظم کے ریلیف پیکج برائے تعمیراتی صنع�� پر ہونے والی پیش رفت کے بارے میں تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔

ممبر آئی آر پالیسی بشمول چیف آئی آر پالیسی نے چیئرمین کو آگاہ کیا کہ اب تک 1325 افراد نے ایف بی آر کے آن لائن سسٹم کے ذریعے 2125 منصوبوں میں اپنا اندراج کرایا ہے۔

ان رجسٹرڈ منصوبوں میں سے 1775 نئے منصوبے ہیں جبکہ 350 موجودہ منصوبے ہیں۔ ان رجسٹرڈ پروجیکٹس میں کی گئی کل اعلان شدہ سرمایہ کاری 493 ارب روپے میں آتی ہے۔

وزیر اعظم کا تعمیراتی پیکیج 19 اپریل 2020 کو ٹیکس قوانین (ترمیمی) آرڈیننس 2020 کے ذریعے متعارف کرایا گیا تھا۔

ایف بی آر نے پیکیج کے مستحقین کو تمام مطلوبہ سہولیات فراہم کی ہیں جن میں سرشار ویب پیج کا قیام ، انکوائریوں کو حل کرنے کے لیے ایک سرشار ای میل اور بلڈرز اور ڈویلپرز کے لیے آن لائن مرحلہ وار گائیڈ شامل ہیں۔

اس کے علاوہ ، ممکنہ خریداروں اور سرمایہ کاروں کے لیے عمومی سوالات کا ایک جامع سیٹ تیار کیا گیا جو ایف بی آر کی ویب سائٹ پر دستیاب ہے۔

مزید یہ کہ اس امدادی پیکج کے زیادہ سے زیادہ فوائد حاصل کرنے کے لیے میڈیا مہمات کے ذریعے وسیع تشہیر بھی کی گئی۔
