The government to set up 5 new Electric Vehicle charging stations at highways

The Rashakai Service Area, Tandliyanwala Service Area, Dandewal Service Area, Khanewal Service Area, and Hazara Service Area are installing electric vehicle charging stations, according to the official papers.

In Karachi, the first locally built electric vehicle was unveiled thanks to the combined efforts of the Dice Foundation, academic institutions, and the corporate sector. In the latter half of 2024, the public will be able to make reservations for the NUR-E 75 vehicle.

The National College of Arts produced the design, and all the car's components were created in Pakistan (NCA). After charging for eight hours using a 220V connection, the vehicle can go 210 kilometres at a speed of 120 km/h.

According to the officials, up to 85 spots along motorways are reportedly open for the construction of an infrastructure for DC-fast charging of electric vehicles.

The stations were created, produced, and deployed domestically by Pakistan's Tesla Industries.
