Telecom Infrastructure Sharing Framework has been finalized by the IT Ministry

The draught will be delivered to the federal cabinet for approval with any necessary adjustments after 15 days of feedback (if any).

Sharing of telecom network components and related non-electronic and physical infrastructure is typically referred to by the wide term "telecom infrastructure."

The infrastructure-sharing idea encourages resource efficiency by improving asset use, preventing network infrastructure duplication, saving time and money, and hastening service rollouts.

Regardless of the degree of sharing, infrastructure sharing enables operators to concentrate on the competition in the service layer, according to Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Amin-Ul-Haque. Additionally, it will encourage both domestic and foreign direct investment.

The minister stated that in order to split infrastructure expenses and maintain appropriate performance, operators can share entire or selectively passive portions of their networks. Additionally, these savings may make it easier for cell operators to transition to cutting-edge technologies.
