Special market to establish in Islamabad for women

A special market will be established in Islamabad for women where they may run their businesses, and have their own stalls.

It was stated by Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in a meeting with the delegation of Islamabad Women Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI). The minister said that 50 percent population of the country consisted of women, and policies have been made to bring them into the mainstream.

He also discussed facilities being planned for women to run their businesses in Islamabad. Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that it is imperative for developers to involve women in economic activities.

For this purpose, he said that several proposals have been made in the current budget for the social and economic uplift of women.

He said that loans are being given to women on priority for increasing the circles of their businesses.

Various steps would be ensured for providing resources to women for businesses while IWCCI would be also offered opportunities in the women market of capital.

Moreover, he said that separate desks would be set up for women at NADRA, and passport offices. The delegation headed by IWCCI president Samina Fazeel thanked the Minister for Interior for taking steps for the welfare of women.

انہوں نے کہا کہ خواتین کو اپنے کاروبار کے حلقوں میں اضافے کے لئے ترجیح پر قرضے دیئے جارہے ہیں۔

خواتین کو کاروبار کے لئے وسائل کی فراہمی کے لئے مختلف اقدامات یقینی بنائے جائیں گے جبکہ آئی ڈبلیو سی سی آئی کو دارالحکومت کی خواتین مارکیٹ میں بھی مواقع فراہم کیے جائیں گے۔

مزید برآں ، انہوں نے کہا کہ نادرا ، اور پاسپورٹ آفس میں خواتین کے لئے الگ الگ ڈیسک قائم کی جائیں گی۔ آئی ڈبلیو سی سی آئی کی صدر ثمینہ فاضل کی سربراہی میں وفد نے خواتین کی فلاح و بہبود کے لئے اقدامات کرنے پر وزیر داخلہ کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔
