Special legislation allows 20 marks for students on planting saplings

The Minister of State in her exclusive interview told that in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s clean and green Pakistan vision a unique and innovative effort was conceived to bound university graduates to plant 20 trees during their course study.

Zartaj said the legislation would make 20 saplings compulsory for a university graduate where the university and district administration would help them locate feasible sites for plantation.

Under the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan for a clean and green Pakistan, full participation of the youth in the movement to plant more trees in the country would be encouraged through this legislation, she added.

The Minister of State said that Prime Minister Imran Khan wanted to make the future of coming Explaining the proposed scheme, the Minister of State said that extra marks were given to the students involved in National Cadet Corps (NCC); additional marks would also be given to the students for planting trees as part of educational activities.

“Programmes like 20 Plants 20 Numbers will not only encourage the youth to be a part of this national goal but will also fulfill the dream of making Pakistan a green and prosperous country,” she said.

To a question, she said for this purpose, the concerned colleges, universities or district administrations would determine the place of planting trees where students would be able to plant trees as per the regular schedule.

Zartaj Gul said under this scheme, millions of saplings could be planted every year which would prove to be a valuable asset for the future of the country and future generations.

وزیر مملکت نے اپنے خصوصی انٹرویو میں بتایا کہ وزیر اعظم عمران خان کے صاف ستھرا اور سبز پاکستان کے وژن کی مناسبت سے یونیورسٹی کے فارغ التحصیل طلباء کو اپنے درس کے دوران 20 درخت لگانے پر پابند کرنے کی ایک انوکھی اور جدید کوشش کی گئی تھی۔
زرتاج نے کہا کہ اس قانون سازی سے یونیورسٹی کے گریجویٹ کے لئے 20 پودوں کو لازمی قرار دیا جائے گا جہاں یونیورسٹی اور ضلعی انتظامیہ شجرکاری کے لئے ممکنہ جگہیں تلاش کرنے میں ان کی مدد کرے گی۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ایک صاف ستھرا اور سبز پاکستان کے لئے وزیر اعظم عمران خان کے وژن کے تحت ملک میں زیادہ سے زیادہ درخت لگانے کی تحریک میں نوجوانوں کی بھر پور شرکت کی اس قانون سازی کے ذریعے حوصلہ افزائی کی جائے گی۔

مجوزہ اسکیم کی وضاحت کرتے ہوئے ، وزیر مملکت نے کہا کہ نیشنل کیڈٹ کارپوریشن میں شامل طلباء کو اضافی نمبر دیئے گئے ہیں ، تعلیمی سرگرمیوں کے ایک حصے کے طور پر درخت لگانے کے لئے طلبا کو اضافی نمبر بھی دیئے جائیں گے۔
انہوں نے کہا ، "پلانٹس 20 نمبر جیسے پروگراموں سے نوجوانوں کو نہ صرف اس قومی مقصد کا حصہ بننے کی ترغیب ملے گی بلکہ وہ پاکستان کو سبز اور خوشحال ملک بنانے کے خواب کو بھی پورا کرے گی۔"
ایک سوال کے جواب میں ، انہوں نے کہا کہ اس مقصد کے لئے ، متعلقہ کالج ، یونیورسٹیوں یا ضلعی انتظامیہ درخت لگانے کی جگہ کا تعین کرے گی جہاں طلبہ باقاعدہ شیڈول کے مطابق درخت لگائیں گے۔
زرتاج گل نے کہا کہ اس اسکیم کے تحت ہر سال لاکھوں پودے لگائے جاسکتے ہیں جو ملک اور آئندہ نسلوں کے مستقبل کے لئے ایک قیمتی اثاثہ ثابت ہوں گے۔
