Special Economic District (SED) to get tax-free status in Gwadar Masterplan

GDA has structured a draft that is aimed to propose a tax-free status for the SED for a total period of 30-35 years, which will be constructed under the Gwadar Smart Port City Master Plan.
Abdul Razzaq, the assistant director town planner said that the draft had been submitted and was awaiting approval by the higher authorities so that the local business community could get a chance to improve and prosper.

Another official of the GDA said that the GDA proposed money to be allocated for the Central Business District to help it financially as it seeks to design and release high-tech economic activities under the approved Gwadar Smart Port City Master Plan.

The blueprint of the plan claims that there would be three terms; 2025 being the first, the second being 2035, and 2050 being the last one.
Gwadar Port Authority Chairman Naseer Ahmed Kashani said that the Gwadar Smart Port City plan will boost the trade as it will level Gwadar up to the standards of China, Central Asian Countries, and Afghanistan.

اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر ٹاؤن پلانر عبدالرزاق نے بتایا کہ مسودہ پیش کر دیا گیا ہے اور اعلیٰ حکام کی منظوری کا انتظار ہے تاکہ مقامی کاروباری برادری کو بہتری اور خوشحالی کا موقع مل سکے۔

جی ڈی اے کے ایک اور عہدیدار نے بتایا کہ جی ڈی اے نے سینٹرل بزنس ڈسٹرکٹ کے لئے رقم مختص کرنے کی تجویز پیش کی تاکہ اس کی مالی مدد کی جاسکے کیونکہ وہ منظور شدہ گوادر اسمارٹ پورٹ سٹی ماسٹر پلان کے تحت ہائی ٹیک اقتصادی سرگرمیوں کو ڈیزائن اور جاری کرنا چاہتا ہے۔

منصوبے کے خاکے میں دعوی کیا گیا ہے کہ تین شرائط ہوں گی؛ 2025 پہلا، دوسرا 2035 اور 2050 آخری ہے۔

گوادر پورٹ اتھارٹی کے چیئرمین نصیر احمد کاشانی نے کہا کہ گوادر اسمارٹ پورٹ سٹی پلان سے تجارت کو فروغ ملے گا کیونکہ اس سے گوادر چین، وسطی ایشیائی ممالک اور افغانستان کے معیار کے مطابق برابر ہوگا۔
