Sindh to introduce an ordinance to legalize residential projects

According to the news sources, the assurance to this effect was given by Karachi’s Administrator Murtaza Wahab, who held negotiations on behalf of the Sindh government with a delegation of the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD).

After holding the successful talks, the ABAD announced to put off their intentional protest march from its office till Sindh Chief Minister House in Karachi to save the residential buildings with some irregularities, especially those in the provincial capital, from getting razed or demolished.

The move came as a protest against uncertainty over the future of the housing schemes. The announcement was made by the Chairman of ABAD, Mohsin Sheikhani

Mohsin shikhani earlier announced to hold the protest march after the demolition of a 15-storied residential project, Nasla Tower, on the directives of the Supreme Court after the eviction of its residents. The iconic Nasla Tower is being demolished as it encroaches upon the nearby service road next to the busiest thoroughfare of the city.

While speaking to media persons ABAD Chairman, Mohsin Sheikhani, said that their protest drive was neither against the federal or Sindh governments as they had been agitating purely as a representative body of an important segment of the trade and economy.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق اس حوالے سے یقین دہانی کراچی کے ایڈمنسٹریٹر مرتضیٰ وہاب نے کرائی جنہوں نے حکومت سندھ کی جانب سے ایسوسی ایشن آف بلڈرز اینڈ ڈیولپرز آف پاکستان (اے بی اے ڈی) کے وفد سے مذاکرات کئے۔
کامیاب مذاکرات کے بعد، آباد نے اپنے دفتر سے کراچی میں سندھ کے وزیر اعلیٰ ہاؤس تک اپنا احتجاجی مارچ موخر کرنے کا اعلان کیا تاکہ کچھ بے ضابطگیوں والی رہائشی عمارتوں، خاص طور پر صوبائی دارالحکومت کی عمارتوں کو منہدم یا منہدم ہونے سے بچایا جا سکے۔
یہ اقدام ہاؤسنگ سکیموں کے مستقبل پر غیر یقینی صورتحال کے خلاف احتجاج کے طور پر کیا گیا ہے۔ اس بات کا اعلان آباد کے چیئرمین محسن شیخانی نے کیا۔
محسن شیخانی نے اس سے قبل سپریم کورٹ کی ہدایت پر 15 منزلہ رہائشی پراجیکٹ نسلا ٹاور کو مسمار کرنے کے بعد اس کے رہائشیوں کی بے دخلی کے بعد احتجاجی مارچ کرنے کا اعلان کیا تھا۔ مشہور نسلا ٹاور کو منہدم کیا جا رہا ہے کیونکہ یہ شہر کی مصروف ترین سڑک کے ساتھ قریبی سروس روڈ پر تجاوزات کرتا ہے۔
آباد کے چیئرمین محسن شیخانی نے میڈیا کے نمائندوں سے بات کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ان کی احتجاجی مہم نہ تو وفاقی یا سندھ حکومتوں کے خلاف تھی کیونکہ وہ خالصتاً تجارت اور معیشت کے ایک اہم طبقے کی نمائندہ تنظیم کے طور پر احتجاج کر رہے تھے۔
