Sindh Government set to present its Rs.1.6 trillion budget for the fiscal year 2022-23

Sources revealed that the outgoing budget was recorded to be Rs.1.5 trillion, however this year the provincial government has decided to make an addition of Rs.100 billion to it. An official of the planning and developing department revealed that Rs.28 billion will be added to the existing development budget of Rs.222 billion.

The initial budget proposals will be approved by the cabinet today. The government has allocated Rs.128 billion for the law and order, whereas Rs8 billion has been set aside for the for the mass transit to run around 100 diesel hybrid electronic buses and Rs.4 billion has been separately earmarked for the people’s bus service college.

ذرائع نے انکشاف کیا کہ سبکدوش ہونے والا بجٹ 1.5 ٹریلین روپے ریکارڈ کیا گیا تھا تاہم رواں سال صوبائی حکومت نے اس میں 100 ارب روپے کا اضافہ کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔ محکمہ پلاننگ اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ کے ایک اہلکار نے انکشاف کیا کہ 222 ارب روپے کے موجودہ ترقیاتی بجٹ میں 28 ارب روپے کا اضافہ کیا جائے گا۔
کابینہ آج ابتدائی بجٹ تجاویز کی منظوری دے گی۔ حکومت نے امن و امان کے لیے 128 ارب روپے مختص کیے ہیں، جب کہ 100 ڈیزل ہائبرڈ الیکٹرانک بسیں چلانے کے لیے ماس ٹرانزٹ کے لیے 8 ارب روپے مختص کیے گئے ہیں اور پیپلز بس سروس کالج کے لیے 4 ارب روپے الگ سے رکھے گئے ہیں۔ .
