Sindh Cabinet approves Rs. 2bn for CM Self-Employment Scheme

The Sindh government under a “pro-poor economic revival package” has taken the decision of launching a Chief Minister Self-employment Scheme to provide people with interest-free small loans.

This decision was made at a cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah at CM House. The meeting was attended by all provincial ministers, chief secretary advisers, and relevant secretaries.

The cabinet on the recommendation of the heritage committee has given approval to the request of the owner of a building, Homie Katrak Chamber, Plot CL-9/22/7, Abdullah Haroon Road-Hoshang Road, for addition, and modification of the heritage building.

The compound of the building would stay the same with the revitalization, and inside the compound, a 27-floor building will be built.

In context with the loan program, the chief minister said that the Covid-19 situation had turned a huge number of people either unemployed or underemployed.

“This is the time to introduce a pro-poor economic package under which interest-free small loans may be offered to the people to start their small businesses or strengthen their ongoing business activities,” he said and added that he will be sparing Rs2 billion as part of the current financial year to initiate the scheme.

The cabinet was informed that the Karachi administration would also focus upon the procedures to name revealing public road on a similar pattern as a friendly gesture over the reciprocal basis.

سندھ حکومت نے ایک "غریب نواز معاشی بحالی پیکیج" کے تحت لوگوں کو بلا سود چھوٹے قرضوں کی فراہمی کے لئے چیف منسٹر اپنا روزگار اسکیم شروع کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔

یہ فیصلہ وزیراعلیٰ ہاؤس میں وزیر اعلی سید مراد علی شاہ کی زیر صدارت کابینہ کے اجلاس میں کیا گیا۔ اجلاس میں تمام صوبائی وزراء ، چیف سیکرٹری مشیران ، اور متعلقہ سکریٹریوں نے شرکت کی۔

ورثہ کمیٹی کی سفارش پر کابینہ نے ایک عمارت کے مالک ہومی کتراک چیمبر ، پلاٹ سی ایل ء۹ ۲۲۷ ، عبد اللہ ہارون روڈ ء ہوشنگ روڈ کے علاوہ ورثہ میں ترمیم کی درخواست کو بھی منظوری دے دی ہے۔

اس عمارت کا احاطہ حیات نو کے ساتھ ایک جیسے ہی رہے گا ، اور اس احاطے کے اندر ۲۷ منزل کی عمارت تعمیر کی جائے گی۔

قرض کے پروگرام کے تناظر میں ، وزیر اعلی نے کہا کہ کوویڈ ۱۹ کی صورتحال نے بہت بڑی تعداد میں لوگوں کو یا تو بے روزگار یا بے روزگار کردیا ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا ، "یہ وقت ایک غریب نواز معاشی پیکیج کو متعارف کرانے کا ہے جس کے تحت لوگوں کو سود سے پاک چھوٹے قرضوں کی پیش کش کی جاسکتی ہے تاکہ وہ اپنے چھوٹے کاروبار شروع کریں یا اپنی جاری کاروباری سرگرمیوں کو تقویت دیں۔" اس اسکیم کو شروع کرنے کے لئے موجودہ مالی سال کے ایک حصے کے طور پر۔

کابینہ کو بتایا گیا کہ کراچی انتظامیہ عوامی سڑک کے انکشافات کو عملی شکل پر دوستانہ اشارے کے طور پر اسی طرز پر نام دینے کے طریقہ کار پر بھی توجہ دے گی۔
