SHC summons land acquisition records for Bahria Town Karachi

The order came in response to a petition filed by the Karachi Bar Association, which alleged that the project had been developed illegally on government land. The court directed the relevant authorities to submit all records, including those related to the transfer of land to Bahria Town, within 15 days.

The case has been adjourned until the next hearing, which is scheduled to take place in April.

Bahria Town Karachi (BTK) has denied the allegations made against it by the Karachi Bar Association, stating that other housing projects were also being developed in the vicinity of BTK-2. BTK argued that the high court should not resolve factual disputes or controversies.

However, the court has ordered all parties involved to submit records related to the land, including those pertaining to original allottees, within 15 days. The next hearing is scheduled for April.

Additionally, the petitioner has requested the formation of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) consisting of senior officers from FIA, NAB, ISI, MI, IB, and other relevant officers.

The petitioner has also urged FIA and NAB to take legal action against officials involved in issuing NOCs to BTK and making fraudulent entries in its favor.

درخواست گزار نے ایف آئی اے اور نیب پر زور دیا ہے کہ وہ بی ٹی کے کو این او سی جاری کرنے اور اس کے حق میں جعلی اندراجات کرنے میں ملوث اہلکاروں کے خلاف قانونی کارروائی
