SC issued Notice to LDA in Eden Garden Housing Society case

The case was heard by a three-member bench of the apex court that was headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial, and the other two members were Justice MushirAlam and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel.

The counsel for the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) said during proceedings, that due to some issues the housing society was being relocated. He further said that the society will be extending to the green belt around River Ravi. Moreover, DHA has found some other sites too.

The court cannot allow the relocation because people have already invested big amounts on the already existing land, it was said by Justice Bandial. He further said that the court should be satisfied with all issues which are leading to the need for transfer of the housing society.

All the housing societies were developed over the agricultural land and that is why these lands were destroyed, it was said by Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel. Justice Bandial said that the housing authorities should not develop anymore on the land use for agriculture and crop growing.

Later on, the case`s hearing was suspended.

اسلام آباد: جمعرات کو وزیراعظم عمران خان نے متعلقہ حکام کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ مستحق مکینوں کو متبادل پناہ گاہ کی تقسیم تک کراچی میں انسداد تجاوزات آپریشن نہ کریں۔

ایک اور اجلاس میں ، وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے متعلقہ حکام کو حکم دیا کہ وہ نئے رہائشی منصوبوں خصوصا بجلی کے لئے یوٹیلیٹی کنکشن کی فراہمی میں تاخیر نہ کریں کیونکہ ملک میں بجلی کی قلت نہیں ہے۔ عمران خان نے یہ بھی بتایا کہ کراچی کوارٹرز نامی منصوبے کے تحت کراچی میں 6000 اپارٹمنٹس بنائے جارہے ہیں۔

کراچی ٹرانسفارمیشن پلان سے متعلق اجلاس ک�� دوران وزیر اعظم کو بتایا گیا کہ 1.1 ٹریلین کی تخمینہ لاگت پر کے ٹی پی کے تحت 100 سے زائد منصوبوں کا منصوبہ ہے۔

اجلاس میں چیف آف آرمی اسٹاف جنرل قمر جاوید باجوہ ، وفاقی وزراء شیخ رشید احمد ، اسد عمر اور فیصل واوڈا ، اور وزیر خزانہ کے مشیر برائے خزانہ ڈاکٹر عبدالحفیظ شیخ نے شرکت کی۔

وزیر اعظم کو بتایا گیا کہ کراچی کی ترقی کے 100 منصوبوں کی منصوبہ بندی کی گئی ہے اور یہ تین مختلف مراحل میں مکمل ہوگی۔
