Saudi Vision 2030 offers different economic opportunities to Pakistan

Ali Awad Alasiri, former Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, has said that Saudi Vision 2030 offers a number of economic opportunities to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to further flourish their relations.

Mr. Alasiri was speaking at a webinar on ‘Saudi Vision 2030: opportunities for Pakistan’ organized here by the Institute of Strategic Studies (ISS).

Mr. Alasiri said that there are a number of economic opportunities which are emerging for Pakistan. “Case in point is how Pakistan can send its technicians to provide support in the mega project—NEOM city.

Moreover, both can sign a number of agreements in areas like agriculture, health, labor, etc.,” he added. He suggested that the chambers of commerce in Pakistan must be more proactive to market the products of Pakistan in Saudi Arabia and at the same time both nations should lower trade barriers for each other as well as improve communication.

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the OIC, Rizwan Saeed said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia already have a concrete base in their relations which stems from strong historical, political, economic, and security reasons and should pay more attention to the problems in public and private sectors on both sides and try to identify the fault lines which impede the economic activity between the two states.

PPP Senator Sehar Kamran said that Saudi Vision 2030 aims at reducing the dependency of the Kingdom on oil and diversify its economy by building the future of Saudi Arabia around three themes: a vibrant society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation.

پاکستان میں سعودی عرب کے سابق سفیر علی عواد الاسری نے کہا ہے کہ سعودی وژن 2030 پاکستان اور سعودی عرب کو اپنے تعلقات کو مزید فروغ دینے کے لیے کئی معاشی مواقع فراہم کرتا ہے۔

مسٹر الاسری انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف اسٹریٹجک سٹڈیز (آئی ایس ایس) کے زیر اہتمام 'سعودی وژن 2030: پاکستان کے مواقع' کے موضوع پر ایک ویبینار میں خطاب کر رہے تھے۔

مسٹر الاسری نے کہا کہ پاکستان کے لیے بہت سے معاشی مواقع موجود ہیں۔ "اہم بات یہ ہے کہ پاکستان اپنے ٹیکنیشنز کو میگا پروجیکٹ NEOM سٹی میں مدد فراہم کرنے کے لیے کیسے بھیج سکتا ہے۔

مزید یہ کہ دونوں زراعت ، صحت ، لیبر وغیرہ جیسے شعبوں میں متعدد معاہدوں پر دستخط کر سکتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے مشورہ دیا کہ پاکستان میں چیمبرز آف کامرس کو سعودی عرب میں پاکستان کی مصنوعات کی مارکیٹنگ کے لیے زیادہ فعال ہونا چاہیے اور ساتھ ہی ساتھ دونوں ممالک کو ایک دوسرے کے لیے تجارتی رکاوٹیں کم کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ مواصلات کو بہتر بنانا چاہیے۔

او آئی سی میں پاکستان کے مستقل نمائندے رضوان سعید نے کہا کہ پاکستان اور سعودی عرب پہلے سے ہی اپنے تعلقات میں ٹھوس بنیاد رکھتے ہیں جو مضبوط تاریخی ، سیاسی ، معاشی اور سیکورٹی وجوہات کی بنا پر ہیں اور دونوں طرف کے سرکاری اور نجی شعبوں کے مسائل پر زیادہ توجہ دینی چاہیے۔ اور فالٹ لائنوں کی نشاندہی کرنے کی کوشش کریں جو دونوں ریاستوں کے درمیان معاشی سرگرمیوں میں رکاوٹ ہیں۔

پی پی پی کے سینیٹر سحر کامران نے کہا کہ سعودی وژن 2030 کا مقصد تیل پر مملکت کا انحصار کم کرنا اور سعودی عرب کے مستقبل کو تین موضوعات کے گرد تعمیر کرکے اپنی معیشت کو متنوع بنانا ہے: ایک متحرک معاشرہ ، ایک ترقی پذیر معیشت اور ایک پرجوش قوم۔
