Rs.404 Billion Construction Loans Disbursed By Banks

Applications worth Rs.180 billion were approved by the government and Rs.66 billion were disbursed. The increase in approval of applications has increased more than around 11 times as compared to a year ago when the approved applications were only Rs.16 billion.

The construction of houses is an important developmental project as it currently faces a shortage of 350,000 urban houses according to the 2017 census. Out of this, the majority of the percent of the housing demand comes from the lower-income group which is at 62%. The middle-income and higher-income groups contribute 25% and 10% of the demand respectively. The formal supply recorded per year is 150,000 houses.

Several measures have been taken since July 2020 by SBP to improve the financing conditions of the housing and construction sectors.

مکانات کی تعمیر ایک اہم ترقیاتی منصوبہ ہے کیونکہ اس وقت 2017 کی مردم شماری کے مطابق اسے 350,000 شہری مکانات کی کمی کا سامنا ہے۔ اس میں سے، ہاؤسنگ کی طلب کا زیادہ تر فیصد کم آمدنی والے گروپ سے آتا ہے جو کہ 62 فیصد ہے۔ درمیانی آمدنی والے اور زیادہ آمدنی والے گروہ بالترتیب طلب میں 25 فیصد اور 10فیصد حصہ ڈالتے ہیں۔ ہر سال 150,000 گھروں کی باقاعدہ فراہمی ریکارڈ کی گئی ہے۔
ہاؤسنگ اور تعمیراتی شعبوں کی فنانسنگ کی صورتحال کو بہتر بنانے کے لیے اسٹیٹ بینک کی جانب سے جولائی 2020 سے کئی اقدامات کیے گئے ہیں۔
