Roadmap approved to encourage investment

The action plan has set the main objectives for PBIT, which are to attract FDI, support existing investors with expansion potential, coordinate and assist for a better business ecosystem, establish an effective and efficient Operational Support System, and promote investment in the province through inclusive marketing and events.

According to the news sources, The Board of Directors established the European Desk, North America Desk, China and South East Desk, Middle East Desk, and Central and South Asia Desk for the facilitation of potential investors from these regions and to present Punjab as the most lucrative destination for investment.

BOD Chairman Fazeel Asif Jah said that Punjab’s apex investment promotion agency is playing a focal role in facilitating fast-track investment support services for new as well as existing investors of local and foreign sources.

He further added, PBIT will organize mega-investment promotion events, panel discussions, public-private dialogues, research publications, while new initiatives will be introduced along with the development of state-of-the-art marketing collateral for enlightening the world about investment opportunities Punjab offers.

The BOD said, “We have set targets for the new financial year to ensure the economic uplift of the province through investment and financial growth. The Punjab government is introducing bold reforms that have increased the confidence of the business community and helped the country improve in all sectors of the economy.

خبر رساں ذرائع کے مطابق بورڈ آف ڈائریکٹرز نے یورپین ڈیسک، نارتھ امریکہ ڈیسک، چائنا اینڈ ساؤتھ ایسٹ ڈیسک، مڈل ایسٹ ڈیسک، اور سینٹرل اینڈ ساؤتھ ایشیا ڈیسک قائم کیے تاکہ ان خطوں کے ممکنہ سرمایہ کاروں کو سہولت فراہم کی جاسکے اور پنجاب کو بطور سرمایہ کار پیش کیا جاسکے۔ سرمایہ کاری کے لیے سب سے زیادہ منافع بخش منزل ہے۔
(بی او ڈی) کے چیئرمین فضیل آصف جاہ نے کہا کہ پنجاب کی اعلیٰ سرمایہ کاری کو فروغ دینے والی ایجنسی مقامی اور غیر ملکی ذرائع کے نئے اور موجودہ سرمایہ کاروں کے لیے تیز رفتار سرمایہ کاری کی معاونت کی خدمات کی سہولت فراہم کرنے میں مرکزی کردار ادا کر رہی ہے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ (پی بی آئ ٹی) میگا انویسٹمنٹ پروموشن ایونٹس، پینل ڈسکشنز، پبلک پرائیویٹ ڈائیلاگ، ریسرچ پبلیکیشنز کا انعقاد کرے گا، جبکہ سرمایہ کاری کے بارے میں دنیا کو روشناس کرنے کے لیے جدید ترین مارکیٹنگ کولیٹرل کی ترقی کے ساتھ نئے اقدامات متعارف کرائے جائیں گے۔
(بی او ڈی) نے کہا، "ہم نے نئے مالی سال کے لیے اہداف مقرر کیے ہیں تاکہ سرمایہ کاری اور مالیاتی نمو کے ذریعے صوبے کی معاشی ترقی کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔ پنجاب حکومت ایسی جرات مندانہ اصلاحات متعارف کروا رہی ہے جس سے تاجر برادری کے اعتماد میں اضافہ ہوا ہے اور ملکی معیشت کے تمام شعبوں میں بہتری لانے میں مدد ملی ہے۔
