Renovation of buildings, main roads repairs in Lahore reviewed

According to the news sources, Lahore Division Commissioner (retd) Usman Younis on Monday reviewed the progress of beautification and maintenance work carried out on the main roads of the provincial capital under the ‘Beautiful Lahore’ program.

Chairing a meeting at his office here, the commissioner instructed that the Jail Road underpass should be completely restored with renovations, saying that restoration and renovation of the Mall Road would be carried out by Metropolitan Corporation of Lahore (MCL) while Jail Road and Ferozpur Road were handed over to Lahore Development Authority (LDA) for their repairing and beautification.

According to the details, the commissioner briefed during the meeting that four spacious buildings of the Mall Road had been selected which would be decorated and redesigned in a creative manner. It was also briefed that six service delivery camps had been set up on three major roads of Lahore.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق لاہور ڈویژن کے کمشنر عثمان یونس نے پیر کے روز ’’خوبصورت لاہور‘‘ پروگرام کے تحت صوبائی دارالحکومت کی اہم شاہراہوں پر کئے جانے والے بیوٹیفکیشن اور دیکھ بھال کے کاموں کی پیش رفت کا جائزہ لیا۔
یہاں اپنے دفتر میں ایک اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے کمشنر نے جیل روڈ انڈر پاس کو مکمل طور پر تزئین و آرائش کے ساتھ بحال کرنے کی ہدایت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ مال روڈ کی بحالی اور تزئین و آرائش میٹروپولیٹن کارپوریشن آف لاہور (ایم سی ایل) کرے گی جبکہ جیل روڈ اور فیروز پور روڈ۔ ان کی مرمت اور خوبصورتی کے لیے لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (ایل ڈی اے) کے حوالے کیا گیا۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق کمشنر نے اجلاس کے دوران بریفنگ دیتے ہوئے بتایا کہ مال روڈ کی چار کشادہ عمارتوں کا انتخاب کیا گیا ہے جنہیں تخلیقی انداز میں سجایا جائے گا۔ یہ بھی بتایا گیا کہ لاہور کی تین بڑی سڑکوں پر چھ سروس ڈیلیوری کیمپ لگائے گئے ہیں۔
