ISLAMABAD: The federal government is considering regularizing all those housing societies that meet the legal standards set by the competent authorities.
According to the news sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan during the cabinet meeting gave his nod to the regularisation of housing societies.
The illegal housing societies will be regularized after a commission reviews all legal matters related to the process, the sources added.
Meanwhile, in the meeting, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar raised the issue of a ban on new utility connections in Islamabad. He noted that a committee in this regard had been formed in 2019 and voiced concern over a report not being submitted to date.
Taking notice of the issue, Prime minister Imran Khan ordered that the ban on new gas and electricity connections in the federal capital be lifted.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق وزیراعظم عمران خان نے کابینہ اجلاس میں ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیز کو ریگولرائز کرنے کی منظوری دے دی۔
ذرائع نے مزید کہا کہ کمیشن کی جانب سے اس عمل سے متعلق تمام قانونی معاملات کا جائزہ لینے کے بعد غیر قانونی ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں کو ریگولرائز کیا جائے گا۔
دریں اثناء اجلاس میں وفاقی وزیر برائے منصوبہ بندی و ترقی اسد عمر نے اسلام آباد میں نئے یوٹیلیٹی کنکشنز پر پابندی کا معاملہ اٹھایا۔ انہوں نے نوٹ کیا کہ اس سلسلے میں ایک کمیٹی 2019 میں تشکیل دی گئی تھی اور اس نے آج تک رپورٹ پیش نہ ہونے پر تشویش کا اظہار کیا۔
وزیراعظم عمران خان نے معاملے کا نوٹس لیتے ہوئے وفاقی دارالحکومت میں گیس اور بجلی کے نئے کنکشنز پر پابندی ختم کرنے کا حکم دیا۔
