RDA To Develop Special Economic Zones In All Tehsils Of Rawalpindi District

While addressing a workshop organized here on Saturday, he informed the participants that RDA under its efforts to decongest Rawalpindi city areas was working on a mega Rawalpindi Development Plan.

He said, special economic zones would be developed in all tehsils of the district which would mainly de-congest the Rawalpindi city areas and development work would be carried out in tehsils in accordance with the modern urban planning strategy.

He said the regional plan would not only help de-congest city areas but also support minimizing the unplanned expansion of the city and unnecessary urbanization.

As per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, efforts would be made to set a new horizon for the development of the city. 'Rawalpindi development plan' will be a major factor for the growth of the district Rawalpindi in the South-Western direction.

The establishment of Special Economic Zones in all tehsils will steer the development and growth of the region on modern urban planning practices, he added.

Chairman said, "I firmly believe that regional plan will not only decongest the city but help to control the unchecked urban expansion which has been affecting urban areas for many decades.

" Chairman throwing light on the importance of regional plans being finalized to de-congest congested areas informed that earnest efforts were made to launch the projects of Rawalpindi region which were delayed for several decades.

راولپنڈی: آر ڈی اے ضلع راولپنڈی کی تمام تحصیلوں میں خصوصی اقتصادی زون تیار کرے گا: چیئرمین آر ڈی اے طارق محمود مرتضیٰ نے کہا۔

ہفتہ کے روز یہاں منعقدہ ورکشاپ سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے شرکا کو آگاہ کیا کہ آر ڈی اے راولپنڈی شہروں کو سجانے کی کوششوں کے تحت میگا راولپنڈی ڈویلپمنٹ پلان پر کام کر رہی ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا ، ضلع کی تمام تحصیلوں میں خصوصی معاشی زون تیار کیے جائیں گے جو بنیادی طور پر راولپنڈی شہر کے علاقوں کو غیر محفوظ بنائیں گے اور جدید شہری منصوبہ بندی کی حکمت عملی کے مطابق تحصیلوں میں ترقیاتی کام انجام دیئے جائیں گے۔

انہوں نے کہا ، علاقائی منصوبے سے نہ صرف شہروں کو ڈی کنجٹ کرنے میں مدد ملے گی بلکہ شہر کی غیر منصوبہ بند توسیع اور غیر ضروری شہریوں کو کم سے کم کرنے میں بھی مدد ملے گی۔

وزیر اعظم عمران خان کے وژن کے مطابق شہر کی ترقی کے لئے ایک نیا افق قائم کرنے کی کوشش کی جائے گی۔ جنوب مغربی سمت میں ضلع راولپنڈی کی ترقی کے لئے 'راولپنڈی ترقیاتی منصوبہ' ایک بہت بڑا عنصر ہوگا۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ تمام تحصیلوں میں خصوصی معاشی زون کے قیام سے شہری منصوبہ بندی کے جدید طریقوں پر خطے کی ترقی اور ترقی کو آگے بڑھایا جائے گا۔

چیئرمین نے کہا ، "مجھے پختہ یقین ہے کہ علاقائی منصوبہ نہ صرف شہر کو گنجان بنائے گا بلکہ شہریوں کی ناانصافی کو بڑھانے پر قابو پانے میں مدد ملے گی جو کئی دہائیوں سے شہری علاقوں کو متاثر کررہی ہے۔

چیئرمین نے علاقہ جات کی منصوبہ بندی کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے بتایا کہ راولپنڈی ریجن کے منصوبوں کو شروع کرنے کی پوری کوشش کی گئی ہے جو کئی عشروں سے تاخیر کا شکار ہے۔
