RDA generated Rs264m surplus revenue

RDA has generated a total of Rs559 million record revenue including against a target of Rs259 million in the fiscal year 2020-21.

RDA Chairman Raja Tariq Mehmood Murtaza said that due to the hard work of the officers of the authority, the civic agency managed to collect a surplus revenue of Rs264 million.

“The RDA is making all-out efforts to cater to the needs of nearly six million population of six tehsils of Rawalpindi district,” he said.

The RDA chief said that of the total 386 housing societies in the city, the civic agency has approved 62, the scrutiny of 60 housing projects is underway while 264 had been declared illegal.

He said that were “nearly 100 non-existent and fake housing societies, and the authority has taken strict action against them under the law”.

Recently, the RDA has launched a crackdown on fake and illegal housing societies in Rawalpindi, and cases had been referred to the authorities concerned for legal action.

The RDA top official said that 112 FIRs had been lodged against fake housing societies at respective police stations while 307 legal notices had also been issued to the administration of such fake housing societies.

آر ڈی اے نے مالی سال 2020-21 میں 259 ملین روپے کے ہدف کے مقابلے میں مجموعی طور پر 5559 ملین روپے کی آمدنی حاصل کی ہے۔

آر ڈی اے کے چیئرمین راجہ طارق محمود مرتضیٰ نے کہا کہ اتھارٹی کے افسران کی محنت کی وجہ سے شہری ایجنسی 2 کروڑ 64 لاکھ روپے کی زائد آمدنی وصول کرنے میں کامیاب ہوگئی۔

انہوں نے کہا ، "آر ڈی اے ضلع راولپنڈی کی چھ تحصیلوں کی تقریبا 60 لاکھ آبادی کی ضروریات کو پورا کرنے کے لئے پوری کوشش کر رہی ہے۔"

آر ڈی اے چیف نے بتایا کہ شہر میں کل 386 ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں میں سے شہری ایجنسی نے 62 کی منظوری دی ہے ، 60 رہائشی منصوبوں کی جانچ پڑتال جاری ہے جبکہ 264 کو غیر قانونی قرار دیا گیا ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ "تقریبا 100 غیر موجود اور جعلی ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹی ہیں ، اور اتھارٹی نے ان کے خلاف قانون کے تحت سخت کارروائی کی ہے۔"

آر ڈی اے کے اعلی عہدیدار نے بتایا کہ جعلی ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں کے خلاف متعلقہ تھانوں میں 112 ایف آئی آر درج کی گئیں جبکہ ایسی جعلی ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں کی انتظامیہ کو 307 قانونی نوٹسز بھی جاری کردیئے گئے ہیں۔
