RCB issues final notices to private schools to relocate from residential areas

According to a Rawalpindi Cantonment Board spokesman, the move was taken on the orders of the Supreme Court, according to which all private schools and colleges were made-up to shift their establishments out of residential areas.

He also added that a Final notice had been issued to shift out of Cantt areas by the end of December else strict action following the law would be taken against the violators and their buildings would be sealed without any discrimination.

While talking to the media RCB spokesperson said, the proprietors of all private schools and colleges were warned of strict action on non-compliance with the order. He also added that RCB had also shown the banners at prominent places in Cantt areas to be aware.  the public, parents, principals of educational institutions, and the owners to shift private schools and colleges out of residential areas before the deadline.

He said that the institutions were previously issued several notices to shift the buildings from the cantonment areas by December end 2021 so that the academic year of the students could be saved.

He also added that the final notices had been issued and now no other notice would be issued to any owner and the court order would be applied in letter and spirit.

In 2018, the cantonment board had professed private schools and colleges in residential areas of Cantt illegal, and notices were issued to all establishments to move buildings to commercial areas. The school owners had moved to the Supreme Court against the move and acquired a stay order. At that time the supreme court issued an order from taking any action against these schools and colleges for three years. The deadline is ending by the end of this year. He added,

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ دسمبر کے آخر تک کینٹ کے علاقوں سے باہر شفٹ ہونے کا حتمی نوٹس جاری کر دیا گیا ہے بصورت دیگر خلاف ورزی کرنے والوں کے خلاف قانون کے مطابق سخت کارروائی کی جائے گی اور ان کی عمارتوں کو بلا امتیاز سیل کر دیا جائے گا۔
میڈیا سے بات کرتے ہوئے آر سی بی کے ترجمان نے کہا کہ تمام پرائیویٹ اسکولوں اور کالجوں کے مالکان کو حکم کی تعمیل نہ کرنے پر سخت کارروائی کی تنبیہ کی گئی ہے۔ انہوں نے یہ بھی کہا کہ آر سی بی نے کینٹ کے علاقوں میں نمایاں جگہوں پر بینر بھی دکھائے تھے تاکہ عوام، والدین، تعلیمی اداروں کے پرنسپلز، اور مالکان پرائیویٹ اسکولوں اور کالجوں کو آخری تاریخ سے پہلے رہائشی علاقوں سے باہر منتقل کریں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ اداروں کو پہلے کئی نوٹس جاری کیے گئے تھے کہ وہ دسمبر 2021 کے آخر تک کنٹونمنٹ کے علاقوں سے عمارتیں منتقل کر دیں تاکہ طلباء کا تعلیمی سال بچایا جا سکے۔
