Rawalpindi Development Authority Implements 100% Increase in Property Transfer Fee

Rawalpindi: According to news sources, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has recently announced its decision to implement an approximately 100% increase in its property-transfer fees all over the city. The details suggest that the increase will be applicable for all residential colonies and housing schemes situated in Rawalpindi.
Sources have revealed that the increase is made to generate more revenue for the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA). Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has approved the increase in property transfer fees.
Reports suggest that the per-marla transfer fee for residential units measuring between 5 and 10 marlas has been increased up to PKR 2,800. Previously, it was PKR 1,400. While the per-marla transfer fee for properties measuring in excess of 10 marlas has been fixed at PKR 3,000.
