Ravi Urban project needed for Lahore development: PM Khan

While chairing a meeting regarding of development projects of Lahore, the Prime Minister said that the completion of Ravi Urban project would not only increase economic activity but create employment opportunities as well through quality construction on unused land.

Several development projects were reviewed in this meeting including Ravi Urban Development, relocation of Walton Airport, Central Business District, and provision of affordable housing.

The meeting was informed that the negotiations with the consultants and design issues in the Ravi City has entered its final stages. An investors’ conference would also be organized and steps have already been taken.

The meeting was briefed on the proposed projects for the construction of affordable houses for the low-income group under the vision of the Prime Minister, in the vicinity of small towns of Punjab. The Prime Minister directed the concerned authorities to set timelines and initiate the project as soon as possible. The low-cost three-to-five marla housing project will initially cover 25 to 27 districts of the province and will be gradually expanded to 87 different areas.

لاہور کے ترقیاتی منصوبوں سے متعلق اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ راوی اربن منصوبے کی تکمیل سے نہ صرف معاشی سرگرمیوں میں اضافہ ہوگا بلکہ غیر استعمال شدہ زمین پر معیاری تعمیر کے ذریعے روزگار کے مواقع بھی پیدا ہوں گے۔

اس میٹنگ میں متعدد ترقیاتی منصوبوں کا جائزہ لیا گیا جن میں راوی اربن ڈویلپمنٹ ، والٹن ایئرپورٹ کا تبادلہ ، سنٹرل بزنس ڈسٹرکٹ ، اور سستی رہائش کی فراہمی شامل ہیں۔

اجلاس کو بتایا گیا کہ راوی سٹی میں کنسلٹنٹس اور ڈیزائن کے امور کے ساتھ بات چیت آخری مراحل میں داخل ہوگئی ہے۔ ایک سرمایہ کاروں کی کانفرنس کا انعقاد بھی کیا جائے گا اور اس کے لئے اقدامات پہلے ہی کیے جا چکے ہیں۔

اجلاس میں پنجاب کے چھوٹے شہروں کے آس پاس وزیر اعظم کے وژن کے تحت کم آمدنی والے گروپ کے لئے سستی مکانات کی تعمیر کے مجوزہ منصوبوں کے بارے میں بتایا گیا۔ وزیر اعظم نے متعلقہ حکام کو ٹائم لائنز طے کرنے اور جلد از جلد اس منصوبے کو شروع کرنے کی ہدایت کی۔ کم لاگت سے تین سے پانچ مرلہ رہائشی منصوبے میں ابتدائی طور پر صوبے کے 25 سے 27 اضلاع کا احاطہ کیا جائے گا اور آہستہ آہستہ اسے 87 مختلف علاقوں میں بڑھایا جائے گا۔
