QR codes to be displayed on all under-construction buildings to reveal their legal status

During a meeting chaired by the Sindh Chief Secretary, officials revealed that the lands of Malir Development Authority, Karachi Development Authority, and Lyari Development Authority were illegally occupied. All the land-owning agencies were asked to submit their reports based upon encroachments so a plan could be devised based on them.

After the report has been formed, strict action will be taken against encroachment and no negligence will be tolerated during this operation. Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said a comprehensive plan was required to end the illegal encroachments of lands of MDA and KDA. Furthermore, geo-tagging of these lands will also be performed.

چیف سیکریٹری سندھ کی زیرصدارت اجلاس کے دوران حکام نے انکشاف کیا کہ ملیر ڈیولپمنٹ اتھارٹی، کراچی ڈیولپمنٹ اتھارٹی اور لیاری ڈیولپمنٹ اتھارٹی کی زمینوں پر ناجائز قبضہ کیا گیا ہے۔ تمام اراضی کی ملکیتی ایجنسیوں سے کہا گیا کہ وہ تجاوزات کی بنیاد پر اپنی رپورٹیں پیش کریں تاکہ ان کی بنیاد پر کوئی منصوبہ بنایا جا سکے۔
رپورٹ آنے کے بعد تجاوزات کے خلاف سخت کارروائی کی جائے گی اور آپریشن کے دوران کسی قسم کی غفلت برداشت نہیں کی جائے گی۔ وزیر بلدیات سید ناصر حسین شاہ نے کہا کہ ایم ڈی اے اور کے ڈی اے کی زمینوں پر ناجائز تجاوزات کے خاتمے کے لیے جامع منصوبہ بندی کی ضرورت ہے۔ مزید یہ کہ ان زمینوں کی جیو ٹیگنگ بھی کی جائے گی۔
