Punjab set new record of utilizing 96% development funds in 10 years

He stated those remarks while presiding over a meeting to review the progress of schemes under the Annual Development Programme (ADP). Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht, P&D chairman, secretaries of C&W and Finance Department, SMU head, and others attended the meeting.

The CM asked the departments to early submit PC-I of their schemes according to the relevant rules to speed up the development work.

He appreciated the fact that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had presented the largest development budget in provincial history, adding that the collective volume of PSDP and annual development program had reached Rs740 billion.

He said that a 66 percent increase had been made in the current year’s development budget.

He further said that the government had started numerous schemes under the ADP valuing Rs560 billion. The CM made it clear that delay would not be tolerated as 98 percent of ADP schemes had already been approved.

“Punjab will collect Rs400 billion revenue in the current financial year from its own resources and it is noteworthy that Rs51 billion have already been collected in a period of three months which is 41 percent more than the estimated target,” he mentioned.

The CM said that Punjab was providing various tax exemptions of more than Rs50 billion to different sectors. Buzdar said that the government was introducing holistic reforms in the pension system, human resource management, and property tax to further streamline the system.

ان خیالات کا اظہار انہوں نے سالانہ ترقیاتی پروگرام (ADP) کے تحت سکیموں کی پیش رفت کا جائزہ لینے کے لیے منعقدہ اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے کیا۔ وزیر خزانہ ہاشم جواں بخت، چیئرمین پی اینڈ ڈی، سی اینڈ ڈبلیو اور فنانس ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے سیکرٹریز، ایس ایم یو کے سربراہ اور دیگر نے اجلاس میں شرکت کی۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے محکموں سے کہا کہ وہ ترقیاتی کاموں کی رفتار کو تیز کرنے کے لیے متعلقہ قواعد کے مطابق اپنی اسکیموں کا PC-I جلد پیش کریں۔

انہوں نے اس حقیقت کو سراہا کہ پاکستان تحریک انصاف (پی ٹی آئی) کی حکومت نے صوبائی تاریخ کا سب سے بڑا ترقیاتی بجٹ پیش کیا، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ پی ایس ڈی پی اور سالانہ ترقیاتی پروگرام کا مجموعی حجم 740 ارب روپے تک پہنچ گیا ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ رواں سال کے ترقیاتی بجٹ میں 66 فیصد اضافہ کیا گیا ہے۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ حکومت نے اے ڈی پی کے تحت 560 ارب روپے کی متعدد سکیمیں شروع کی ہیں۔ وزیراعلیٰ نے واضح کیا کہ تاخیر برداشت نہیں کی جائے گی کیونکہ 98 فیصد اے ڈی پی اسکیموں کی منظوری ہوچکی ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ پنجاب رواں مالی سال میں اپنے وسائل سے 400 ارب روپے کا ریونیو اکٹھا کرے گا اور یہ بات قابل ذکر ہے کہ تین ماہ کے عرصے میں 51 ارب روپے پہلے ہی اکٹھے کیے جا چکے ہیں جو کہ تخمینہ ہدف سے 41 فیصد زیادہ ہے۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا کہ پنجاب مختلف شعبوں کو 50 ارب روپے سے زائد کی ٹیکس چھوٹ فراہم کر رہا ہے۔ بزدار نے کہا کہ حکومت پنشن سسٹم، ہیومن ریسورس مینجمنٹ اور پراپرٹی ٹیکس کے نظام کو مزید ہموار کرنے کے لیے جامع اصلاحات متعارف کر رہی ہے۔
