Punjab police to take action against vehicles causing pollution

While talking to the media, Inspector General Police Punjab (IGP) Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that cooperation of police, district administration, environment, health, and other departments concerned is crucial to impede anti-environmental activities causing smog in Lahore. He also directed police teams to continue anti-smog operations and take severe actions against vehicles that are the cause of pollution. He also added to take the action against vehicles emitting massive smoke on highways, stubble burning, and also factories and kilns owners for causing air pollution.

میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے انسپکٹر جنرل پولیس پنجاب (آئی جی پی) راؤ سردار علی خان نے کہا ہے کہ لاہور میں سموگ کا باعث بننے والی ماحول دشمن سرگرمیوں کو روکنے کے لیے پولیس، ضلعی انتظامیہ، ماحولیات، صحت اور دیگر متعلقہ محکموں کا تعاون انتہائی ضروری ہے۔ انہوں نے پولیس ٹیموں کو انسداد سموگ آپریشنز جاری رکھنے اور آلودگی پھیلانے والی گاڑیوں کے خلاف سخت کارروائی کرنے کی بھی ہدایت کی۔ انہوں نے شاہراہوں پر بڑے پیمانے پر دھواں چھوڑنے والی گاڑیوں، پرالی جلانے اور فضائی آلودگی پھیلانے والی فیکٹریوں اور بھٹوں کے مالکان کے خلاف بھی کارروائی کرنے کا کہا۔
