Punjab govt. returns the map approval authority of high-rise buildings to LDA

The Punjab government abolished the High-Level Design Committee for the approval of multi-story buildings and returned the authority of map approval to the LDA. 

 On the direction of Chief Secretary Punjab Jawad Rafique Malik, the Secretary of Local Government has already issued a notice over it. Including LDA, all the authorities have been given back the authorities relevant to map approval. 

Earlier, LDA used to send cases of major highways of Lahore to the High-Level Design Committee, while maps of multi-storey buildings are also sent for approval, which took several months, and for approval of urban cases, they used to hang on the waiting cross.

Nineteen highways including Lahore Canal, Jail Road, Multan Road, Ferozepur Road were with HLDC on which LDA did not have the authority to pass the map. 

This initiative of the Punjab government will facilitate the citizens in the difficult and patient task like passing the map and will also take less time for approval.

چیف سکریٹری پنجاب جواد رفیق ملک کی ہدایت پر سکریٹری بلدیات نے پہلے ہی اس پر نوٹس جاری کیا ہے۔ ایل ڈی اے سمیت تمام حکام کو نقشہ منظوری سے متعلقہ حکام کو واپس کردیا گیا ہے۔

اس سے قبل ایل ڈی اے لاہور کی بڑی شاہراہوں کے معاملات اعلی سطحی ڈیزائن کمیٹی کو بھجوایا کرتا تھا ، جبکہ متعدد منزلہ عمارتوں کے نقشے بھی منظوری کے لئے بھیجے جاتے ہیں ، جس میں کئی مہینے لگے تھے ، اور شہری مقدمات کی منظوری کے لئے وہ لٹکتے رہتے تھے۔ انتظار کراس

لاہور کینال ، جیل روڈ ، ملتان روڈ ، فیروز پور روڈ سمیت انیس شاہراہیں ایچ ایل ڈی سی کے پاس تھیں جس پر ایل ڈی اے کو نقشہ پاس کرنے کا اختیار نہیں تھا۔

حکومت پنجاب کے اس اقدام سے شہریوں کو نقشہ گزرنے جیسے مشکل اور صبر آزما کام میں سہولت ملے گی اور منظوری کے لئے بھی کم وقت لگے گا۔
