Punjab Government ready to contribute in development of ex-Fata districts

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin held a meeting with Finance Minister of Punjab Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht at Finance Division. Secretary Finance Division, Finance Secretary Punjab, and senior officers participated in the meeting. 

Adviser to the Prime Minister and Punjab finance minister discussed various aspects of promoting progress and prosperity in ex-FATA districts and allocation of 3% provincial share to the divisible pool for carrying out development initiatives in ex-FATA districts. 

Punjab Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht apprised that the Punjab government is ready to play its role and contribute to the development of ex-FATA districts with a clear perspective of the actual amount of share for Punjab province.  

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin emphasized that a meeting of the subgroup of NFC may be convened to discuss and settle the issue of allocation of 3% provincial share at the priority.

Later, Punjab Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht gave a detailed presentation on various reforms and initiatives being carried out in the province for the welfare of people and good governance.

Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht appreciated the federal government for providing all-out support and requested the federal government to play its role in the solution of various financial issues being faced by the Punjab government. 

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue said the federal government is determined to uplift the living standards of people and ready to provide necessary support and resources to the Punjab government as the welfare and progress of people is the top priority of the present government.

وزیر اعظم کے مشیر برائے خزانہ و محصولات شوکت ترین نے وزیر خزانہ پنجاب مخدوم ہاشم جواں بخت سے فنانس ڈویژن میں ملاقات کی۔ اجلاس میں سیکرٹری فنانس ڈویژن، سیکرٹری خزانہ پنجاب اور سینئر افسران نے شرکت کی۔

وزیر اعظم کے مشیر اور پنجاب کے وزیر خزانہ نے سابق فاٹا کے اضلاع میں ترقی اور خوشحالی کو فروغ دینے اور فاٹا کے سابق اضلاع میں ترقیاتی اقدامات کو آگے بڑھانے کے لیے 3 فیصد صوبائی حصہ کو قابل تقسیم پول میں مختص کرنے کے مختلف پہلوؤں پر تبادلہ خیال کیا۔

پنجاب کے وزیر خزانہ مخدوم ہاشم جواں بخت نے آگاہ کیا کہ پنجاب حکومت صوبہ پنجاب کے حصے کی اصل رقم کے واضح تناظر کے ساتھ سابق فاٹا کے اضلاع کی ترقی میں اپنا کردار ادا کرنے اور تعاون کرنے کے لیے تیار ہے۔

وزیر اعظم کے مشیر برائے خزانہ اور محصول شوکت ترین نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ این ایف سی کے ذیلی گروپ کا اجلاس بلایا جا سکتا ہے تاکہ ترجیحی بنیادوں پر 3 فیصد صوبائی حصہ مختص کرنے کے معاملے پر بات چیت کی جا سکے۔

بعد ازاں پنجاب کے وزیر خزانہ مخدوم ہاشم جواں بخت نے عوام کی فلاح و بہبود اور گڈ گورننس کے لیے صوبے میں کی جانے والی مختلف اصلاحات اور اقدامات کے بارے میں تفصیلی پریزنٹیشن دی۔

مخدوم ہاشم جواں بخت نے وفاقی حکومت کی جانب سے ہر ممکن تعاون کی تعریف کی اور وفاقی حکومت سے درخواست کی کہ وہ پنجاب حکومت کو درپیش مختلف مالیاتی مسائل کے حل کے لیے اپنا کردار ادا کرے۔

وزیر اعظم کے مشیر برائے خزانہ اور محصولات نے کہا کہ وفاقی حکومت عوام کے معیار زندگی کو بلند کرنے کے لیے پرعزم ہے اور پنجاب حکومت کو ضروری مدد اور وسائل فراہم کرنے کے لیے تیار ہے کیونکہ عوام کی فلاح و بہبود موجودہ حکومت کی اولین ترجیح ہے۔
