Punjab Government Considering To Establish a Rail Network along Rawalpindi Ring Road

M. Abdullah, Ring Road Project Management Unit Deputy Director that the given proposal regarding fast rail transport was under consideration and added that suggestions given by stakeholders will also be transferred to the project director in order to make the project`s part. The land is getting purchased for Rs 6.5 Billion and the proposed Ring Road is going to be a road of 65 km in total. The projects that have been proposed are the construction of health city, bus and truck terminals, industrial zones, theme parks, and dry port too.

One of RDA`s senior officer has disclosed that this proposal was part of the project in 1996, but there have been changes made in the project by PML-N, in 2016. While PTI has decided to continue with it for the sake of convenient transportation between Rawalpindi and Islamabad, which are interlinked cities. All this is going to take place within an already released budget of Rs 6.5 billion. A huge number of representatives of trader associations and officials as well as office-bearers of RCCI became part of the briefing session. The environmental expert Adeel Pervez and financial expert Zeeshan Amin escorted M Abdullah.

Nasir Mirza, The President of RCCI said that this Ring Road Project will accelerate the trade activities in Rawalpindi. He added that while finalizing the demarcation and allocation of the industrial zones, the stakeholders should also be invited for involvement. According to him, it is a valuable project for Rawalpindi`s progress and should be completed within less period and at a fast pace. He also said that the major purpose of the project is to avoid traffic blockings, shift markets, and to promote medium as well as small enterprises.

Former president of RCCI and group Leader, Sohail Altaf said that investors should not be left at the compassion of the land mafia.  The session was also attended by representatives of Anjuman-i-Tajiran, Senior Vice President Osman Ashraf, former presidents, members of the executive committee, and Vice President Shahraiz.A.Malik,

ایم عبداللہ ، رنگ روڈ پروجیکٹ مینجمنٹ یونٹ کے ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر نے بتایا کہ فاسٹ ریل ٹرانسپورٹ سے متعلق دی گئی تجویز پر غور کیا گیا ہے اور مزید کہا کہ اسٹیک ہولڈرز کی جانب سے دی گئی تجاویز کو پروجیکٹ کا حصہ بنانے کے لئے پروجیکٹ ڈائریکٹر کو بھی منتقل کیا جائے گا۔ یہ اراضی 6.5 بلین روپے میں خریدی جارہی ہے اور رنگ روڈ کو 65 کلومیٹر کی سڑک بنایا جائے گا۔ جن منصوبوں کی تجویز پیش کی گئی ہیں وہ ہیں: ہیلتھ سٹی ، بس اور ٹرک ٹرمینلز ، صنعتی زون ، تھیم پارکس اور ڈرائی پورٹ کی تعمیر بھی۔

آر ڈی اے کے ایک سینئر افسر نے انکشاف کیا ہے کہ یہ تجویز 1996 میں اس منصوبے کا حصہ تھی ، لیکن مسلم لیگ (ن) نے 2016 میں ، اس منصوبے میں تبدیلیاں کی ہیں۔ جبکہ پی ٹی آئی نے راولپنڈی کے درمیان آسان نقل و حمل کی خاطر اس کے ساتھ جاری رکھنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔ اور اسلام آباد ، جو آپس میں جڑے ہوئے شہر ہیں۔ یہ سب پہلے ہی جاری کردہ 6.5 بلین روپے کے بجٹ میں ہونے جارہے ہیں۔ تاجر انجمنوں کے نمائندوں اور عہدیداروں کے علاوہ آر سی سی آئی کے عہدیداران کی بڑی تعداد بریفنگ سیشن کا حصہ بنی۔ ماحولیاتی ماہر عدیل پرویز اور معاشی ماہر ذیشان امین نے ایم عبداللہ کو سہارا لیا۔

آر سی سی آئی کے صدر ناصر مرزا نے کہا کہ یہ رنگ روڈ پروجیکٹ سرائے راولپنڈی میں تجارتی سرگرمیوں کو تیز کرے گا۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ صنعتی زونوں کی حد بندی اور مختص کرنے کو حتمی شکل دیتے ہوئے ، اسٹیک ہولڈرز کو بھی شمولیت کے لئے مدعو کیا جائے۔ ان کے بقول ، یہ راولپنڈی کی ترقی کے لئے ایک قیمتی منصوبہ ہے اور اسے کم مدت میں اور تیز رفتار سے مکمل کیا جانا چاہئے۔ انہوں نے یہ بھی کہا کہ اس منصوبے کا سب سے بڑا مقصد ٹریفک کی روک تھام ، شفٹ مارکیٹوں اور درمیانے اور چھوٹے کاروباری اداروں کو فروغ دینا ہے۔

آر سی سی آئی کے سابق صدر اور گروپ لیڈر سہیل الطاف نے کہا کہ سرمایہ کاروں کو لینڈ مافیا کی شفقت پر نہیں چھوڑنا چاہئے۔ اجلاس میں انجمان التجیران ، سینئر نائب صدر عثمان اشرف ، سابق صدور ، ایگزیکٹو کمیٹی کے ممبران اور نائب صدر شاہریز کے نمائندے بھی شامل تھے۔
