Proposals reviewed to bifurcate Lahore in two districts

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar presided over a high-level meeting in the Chief Minister Office.

The meeting reviewed proposals to bifurcate Lahore into two districts on administrative grounds. Senior Member Board of Revenue presented proposals in this regard.

Chief Minister said the city of Lahore was becoming overpopulated and bifurcation in two districts on administrative grounds was the need of the hour. However, the decision would be made after political consensus.

The chief minister was directed to present final proposals in this regard and was directed to prepare a new map according to areas of Lahore. The CM was told in a briefing that administrative bifurcation in two districts would lead to the creation of new tehsils in Lahore.

Chief Secretary, Senior Member Board of Revenue, and Principal Secretary to CM and attended the meeting. Meanwhile, Sanaullah Mastikhel MNA called on Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar and apprised him about the problems of his constituency.

The CM assured to resolve the issues and pointed out that development work has been started in various constituencies according to parliamentarians’ priorities. Public service is my core agenda, he maintained.

On the other hand, the CM regretted that the unscrupulous elements in PDM are promoting their negative politics. Those involved in negative politics have lost their credibility because people demand development and prosperity in their areas, he stated.

The unnatural umbrella alliance of the opposition parties has ignored national interest and, regrettably, left no stone unturned to put the national interest at stake, the CM concluded.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed to constitute a special anti-beggary squad to nab the professional beggars in different zones in phases.

لاہور: وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب نے ایک اجلاس کی صدارت کی جس میں انہوں نے لاہور کو دو اضلاع میں تقسیم کرنے کی تجاویز کا جائزہ لیا۔
وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب سردار عثمان بزدار نے وزیراعلیٰ آفس میں ایک اعلیٰ سطحی اجلاس کی صدارت کی۔

اجلاس میں انتظامی بنیادوں پر لاہور کو دو اضلاع میں تقسیم کرنے کی تجاویز کا جائزہ لیا گیا۔ سینئر ممبر بورڈ آف ریونیو نے اس حوالے سے تجاویز پیش کیں۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا کہ لاہور شہر زیادہ آباد ہورہا ہے اور انتظامی بنیادوں پر دو اضلاع میں تقسیم کرنا وقت کی ضرورت ہے۔ تاہم فیصلہ سیاسی اتفاق رائے کے بعد کیا جائے گا۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے اس حوالے سے حتمی تجاویز پیش کرنے کی ہدایت کی اور لاہور کے علاقوں کے مطابق نیا نقشہ تیار کرنے کی ہدایت کی۔ وزیراعلیٰ کو بریفنگ میں بتایا گیا کہ دو اضلاع میں انتظامی تقسیم سے لاہور میں نئی تحصیلیں بنیں گی۔

چیف سیکرٹری ، سینئر ممبر بورڈ آف ریونیو اور پرنسپل سیکرٹری برائے وزیراعلیٰ اور میٹنگ میں شرکت کی۔ دریں اثناء ثناء اللہ مستی خیل ایم این اے نے وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب سردار عثمان بزدار سے ملاقات کی اور انہیں اپنے حلقے کے مسائل سے آگاہ کیا۔
وزیراعلیٰ نے مسائل کے حل کی یقین دہانی کرائی اور بتایا کہ مختلف حلقوں میں ترقیاتی کام پارلیمنٹیرین کی ترجیحات کے مطابق شروع کیے گئے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ عوامی خدمت میرا بنیادی ایجنڈا ہے۔

دوسری طرف ، وزیراعلیٰ نے افسوس کا اظہار کیا کہ پی ڈی ایم میں بے ایمان عناصر اپنی منفی سیاست کو فروغ دے رہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ منفی سیاست میں ملوث افراد اپنی ساکھ کھو چکے ہیں کیونکہ لوگ اپنے علاقوں میں ترقی اور خوشحالی کا مطالبہ کرتے ہیں۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے یہ نتیجہ اخذ کیا کہ اپوزیشن جماعتوں کے غیر فطری اتحاد نے قومی مفاد کو نظر انداز کیا ہے اور افسوس کے ساتھ قومی مفاد کو داؤ پر لگانے میں کوئی کسر نہیں چھوڑی۔

وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب سردار عثمان بزدار نے مختلف زونوں میں پیشہ ور بھکاریوں کو مرحلہ وار پکڑنے کے لیے ایک خصوصی بھکاری مخالف اسکواڈ تشکیل دینے کی ہدایت کی ہے۔
