Progress of work on Punjab PSDP projects reviewed

Punjab Planning and Development Board chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal chaired a meeting to review the pace of work on the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) projects, including roads, irrigation, agriculture, livestock, health, higher education, climate change, and energy, our sources revealed.

The objective of the meeting was to review the progress of the ongoing and new schemes. The official directed the relevant authorities to ensure the completion of projects within the stipulated timeframe. He also directed the immediate start of work on new projects.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved two development schemes worth Rs1.‪112 billion.

The approved development schemes included repair, rehabilitation, construction of 36.57km long road from Kasur Hujra Road to Mandi Basirpur Road at a cost of Rs‪481.779 million, and the construction of 3.9km long approach road in Sheikhupura at the cost of Rs630.292 million.

پنجاب پلاننگ اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ بورڈ کے چیئرمین عبداللہ خان سنبل کی زیر صدارت ایک اجلاس ہوا جس میں پبلک سیکٹر ڈویلپمنٹ پروگرام (پی ایس ڈی پی) کے منصوبوں پر کام کی رفتار کا جائزہ لیا گیا جن میں سڑکیں، آبپاشی، زراعت، لائیو سٹاک، صحت، اعلیٰ تعلیم، موسمیاتی تبدیلی اور توانائی شامل ہیں۔.

اجلاس کا مقصد جاری اور نئی سکیموں پر پیش رفت کا جائزہ لینا تھا۔ عہدیدار نے متعلقہ حکام کو ہدایت دی کہ وہ مقررہ مدت میں پراجیکٹس کی تکمیل کو یقینی بنائیں۔ انہوں نے نئے منصوبوں پر فوری کام شروع کرنے کی بھی ہدایت کی۔

دریں اثنا، صوبائی ترقیاتی ورکنگ پارٹی (پی ایس ڈی پی) نے 1.112 بلین روپے کی دو ترقیاتی سکیموں کی منظوری دی۔

منظور شدہ ترقیاتی سکیموں میں قصور حجرہ روڈ سے منڈی بصیر پور روڈ تک 36.57 کلومیٹر طویل سڑک کی مرمت، بحالی، 481.779 ملین روپے کی لاگت سے اور شیخوپورہ میں 630.292 ملین روپے کی لاگت سے 3.9 کلومیٹر طویل اپروچ روڈ کی تعمیر شامل ہے۔
