Private Housing Societies Can No Longer Employ Private Security Guards

RAWALPINDI: Due to an increase in instances of firing in private housing societies in Rawalpindi, a prohibition on employing personal security guards has been imposed on all private housing projects. (Reported by news source) 

Authorities have started collecting information on security personnel and firearms used in these scams, and they'll run a thorough check to find illicit weapons in unlicensed housing complexes.

Police officers have heard of unlawful housing societies that use armed security guards to steal land and engage in armed conflict with rivals while disguising their use as personal security. Residents now feel anxiety and panic as a result of these actions.

The police have developed a strategy to deal with the issue that includes digital mapping and cooperation across pertinent police stations. The idea was authorized at a meeting that was presided over by the Chief Police Officer (CPO), Syed Khalid Hamdani. The CPO stressed the need for comprehensive action against land mafia and illegal firearms in housing societies while gathering information on security personnel and weaponry.
