PM performs groundbreaking of Margalla Avenue Project

The prime minister said that given the increase in the population of the federal capital, there is a need for the development of more road infrastructure projects in Islamabad.

He assured that the protection of the environment will be fully taken care of during the execution of such projects.

He said it is the first government that has given serious consideration, and priority to deal with the issue of climate change.

PM Imran Khan further said that the highway project will not only provide protection to Margalla Hills National Park but will also promote tourism by ensuring easy access to Galiyat like picturesque sites.

In a series of tweets, Senator Faisal Javed said Margalla Avenue will link M-1 to Murree road, and under the first phase, it will connect GT Road with E-10 and Constitution Avenue as well.

He further said that the project was part of the Master Plan of Islamabad prepared in 1960 but could not be constructed yet.

Also, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is initiating work on this project. “Once a bankrupt organization CDA has now become financially vibrant under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan,” his exact words.

The government has taken the decision of constructing this road from the Sangjani area on GT Road to SatraMeel.

The CDA board had finalized to implementation of the project done through the Ministry of Defense.

اسلام آباد: وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے 32 کلومیٹر طویل مارگلہ ایونیو ہائی وے منصوبے کا سنگ بنیاد سرانجام دیا۔

وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ وفاقی دارالحکومت کی آبادی میں اضافے کے پیش نظر ، اسلام آباد میں سڑک کے بنیادی ڈھانچے کے مزید منصوبوں کی ترقی کی ضرورت ہے۔

انہوں نے یقین دلایا کہ اس طرح کے منصوبوں پر عمل درآمد کے دوران ماحولیات کے تحفظ کا پوری طرح سے خیال رکھا جائے گا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ پہلی حکومت ہے جس نے موسمیاتی تبدیلیوں کے معاملے سے نمٹنے کے لئے سنجیدگی سے غور ، اور ترجیح دی ہے۔

وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے مزید کہا کہ شاہراہ پروجیکٹ نہ صرف مارگلہ پہاڑیوں کے قومی پارک کو تحفظ فراہم کرے گا بلکہ گلیات تک بھی خوبصورت مقامات کی طرح آسانی سے رسائی کو یقینی بناتے ہوئے سیاحت کو فروغ دے گا۔

ٹویٹوں کی ایک سیریز میں ، سینیٹر فیصل جاوید نے کہا کہ مارگلہ ایونیو ایم -1 کو مری روڈ سے جوڑے گا ، اور پہلے مرحلے میں وہ جی ٹی روڈ کو ای -10 اور کانسٹیٹیوشن ایونیو سے بھی جوڑے گا۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ یہ منصوبہ 1960 میں تیار کردہ اسلام آباد کے ماسٹر پلان کا حصہ تھا لیکن ابھی تک اس کی تعمیر نہیں ہوسکی۔

اس کے علاوہ ، کیپیٹل ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (سی ڈی اے) اس منصوبے پر کام شروع کر رہی ہے۔ "ایک بار دیوالیہ تنظیم سی ڈی اے اب وزیر اعظم عمران خان کی سربراہی میں مالی طور پر متحرک ہوچکی ہے ،" ان کے عین الفاظ۔

حکومت نے جی ٹی روڈ پر سنگجانی کے علاقے سے سترا میل تک اس سڑک کی تعمیر کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔

سی ڈی اے بورڈ نے وزارت دفاع کے ذریعے کئے جانے والے منصوبے پر عملدرآمد کے لئے حتمی شکل دے دی۔
