PM launches Ehsaas Saving Wallets

Addressing the ceremony, the PM told that the federal government’s Ehsaas Program is considered to be the world’s fourth successful initiative in the coronavirus pandemic.

The poverty in Pakistan can be reduced by providing employment to women, he added.

It is to be mentioned here that from now onwards, Ehsaas Kafaalat beneficiaries will have the option of either drawing their money or saving money into digital wallets.

The beneficiaries of the Kafaalat program can open these accounts at agent shops or ATMs.

Initial transactions through these accounts will include balance inquiry, cash in and cash out, transfer funds received from Ehsaas to mobile accounts, mobile top-up, utility bill payments, and money transfers.

The aim of this program is to encourage savings which have shown to help alleviate poverty. It will deepen the financial inclusion initiated under the ‘One Woman One Bank Account Policy’. 

Ehsaas Saving Wallet is said to be an essential component of the Ehsaas Financial Inclusion Strategy. The saving wallets initiative is a strategic step forward for Kafaalat households to better manage financial shocks, meet emergency needs, and invest to increase their earnings; to climb out of poverty.

تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وزیر اعظم نے بتایا کہ وفاقی حکومت کے ایہاساس پروگرام کو کورونا وائرس وبائی مرض میں دنیا کا چوتھا کامیاب اقدام سمجھا جاتا ہے۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ خواتین کو روزگار فراہم کرکے پاکستان میں غربت کو کم کیا جاسکتا ہے۔

یہاں یہ بات قابل ذکر ہے کہ اب کے بعد سے ، احصاس کفالت سے فائدہ اٹھانے والوں کے پاس اپنا پیسہ کھینچنے یا ڈیجیٹل بٹوے میں رقم بچانے کا اختیار ہوگا۔

کفایت پروگرام کے مستفیدین یہ اکاؤنٹ ایجنٹ شاپس یا اے ٹی ایم پر کھول سکتے ہیں۔

ان اکاؤنٹس کے ذریعہ ابتدائی لین دین میں بیلنس انکوائری ، کیش ان اور کیش آؤٹ ، احسان سے موصولہ فنڈز کو موبائل اکاؤنٹس میں منتقل کرنا ، موبائل ٹاپ اپ ، یوٹیلیٹی بل کی ادائیگی اور رقم کی منتقلی شامل ہوگی۔

اس پروگرام کا مقصد بچت کی حوصلہ افزائی کرنا ہے جس نے غربت کے خاتمے میں مدد فراہم کی ہے۔ اس سے ’ایک عورت ایک بینک اکاؤنٹ پالیسی‘ کے تحت شروع کی جانے والی مالی شمولیت کو مزید گہرا کیا جائے گا۔

کہا جاتا ہے کہ احسان سیونگ والیٹ کو احسان مالی مالی شمولیت کی حکمت عملی کا ایک لازمی جزو ہے۔ کفالت کے گھرانوں کو معاشی جھٹکوں کا بہتر انتظام کرنے ، ہنگامی ضروریات کو پورا کرنے اور اپنی آمدنی میں اضافہ کرنے کے لئے سرمایہ کاری کے لئے غربت سے باہر نکلنے کے لئے ‍‍‍‍والٹ سیونگ کا اقدام ایک اسٹریٹجک قدم ہے۔
