PM Khan inaugurates Al-Biruni Radius

He was accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Science & Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry, and his aide on overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari. He inaugurated the Al-Biruni point of Jhelum’s Nandana Fort.

Speaking at the event, the PM said tourism provides the most employment and its promotion would do the same for the youth of Pakistan. He said that tourism is made successful by the locals and promised that his government would develop the region and put it on the world map.

He also emphasized the importance of preserving the cultural heritage for future generations. “We will make Jhelum’s Baghanwala a model village,” said Khan.

Al-Biruni was the Islamic world’s most original polymath that lived from 973 to 1052. He was known for his travels and writings. He measured the Earth’s circumference for the first time at the site.

Zulfi Bukhari also briefed the PM about the developments in the area and said that an observatory would also be set up in the area.

Imran Khan also visited the Tilla Jogian National Park and planted an olive tree. He also received a briefing on measures related to wildlife and environmental protection in the Salt Range National Park.

ان کے ہمراہ وزیر اعلی پنجاب عثمان بزدار ، سائنس وٹیکنالوجی کے وزیر فواد چوہدری اور بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانی زلفی بخاری کے معاون تھے۔ انہوں نے جہلم کے نندانہ قلعے کے البیرونی مقام کا افتتاح کیا۔
اس تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ سیاحت سب سے زیادہ روزگار مہیا کرتی ہے اور اس کا فروغ پاکستان کے نوجوانوں کے لئے بھی ایسا ہی ہوگا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ مقامی لوگوں کے ذریعہ سیاحت کو کامیاب بنایا جاتا ہے اور انہوں نے وعدہ کیا ہے کہ ان کی حکومت خطے کی ترقی کرے گی اور اسے دنیا کے نقشے پر ڈال دے گی۔
انہوں نے آئندہ نسلوں کے لئے ثقافتی ورثے کے تحفظ کی اہمیت پر بھی زور دیا۔ خان نے کہا ، "ہم جہلم کے بگانوالہ کو ایک ماڈل گاؤں بنائیں گے۔
البیرونی عالم اسلام کا سب سے اصل پالیمتھ تھا جو 973 ء سے لے کر 1052 تک رہا۔ وہ اپنے سفر اور تحریروں کے لئے مشہور تھا۔ اس نے سائٹ پر پہلی بار زمین کے فریم کو ناپا۔
زلفی بخاری نے وزیر اعظم کو علاقے کی پیشرفت کے بارے میں بھی آگاہ کیا اور کہا کہ اس علاقے میں ایک رصد گاہ بھی بنایا جائے گا۔
عمران خان نے تللہ جوگیان نیشنل پارک کا بھی دورہ کیا اور زیتون کا درخت لگایا۔ انہوں نے سالٹ رینج نیشنل پارک میں جنگلات کی زندگی اور ماحولیاتی تحفظ سے متعلق اقدامات کے بارے میں بریفنگ بھی حاصل کی۔
