PM Imran Khan to launch Pakistan's first E-bike today

The launching of the E-Bike was part of the present government’s five-year Pakistan Electric Vehicles Policy 2020-2025, approved last year and envisaged targeting a robust electric vehicle market having a 30% and 90% share in passenger vehicles and heavy-duty trucks by 2030 and 2040 respectively.

The salient features of the policy included a phased transition of the automobile industry, as it would be covering two and three-wheelers and heavy commercial vehicles providing incentives to manufacturers.

The E-Bike, to be launched by the prime minister had been manufactured by a Pakistani company, Jolta Electric, and was considered as a major step towards electrifying the country’s automobile industry.

Various models of Jolta E-Bikes have different speed specifications from 10 to 60 kilometers per hour and can cover a distance after full charge from 60 to 100 kilometers.

Jolta EV technology, an initiative by AUJ Technologie Pvt. Ltd was the EV technology provider, designed key components of electric vehicle kits for two, three, and four-wheelers. It had been through five years of product designing, development, and manufacturing experience in China.

ای بائک کا اجرا موجودہ حکومت کی پانچ سالہ پاکستان الیکٹرک وہیکلز پالیسی 2020-2025 کا ایک حصہ تھا ، جسے گذشتہ سال منظور کیا گیا تھا اور اس نے ایک مضبوط الیکٹرک گاڑی مارکیٹ کو نشانہ بنایا تھا جس میں مسافر گاڑیوں اور ہیوی ڈیوٹی میں 30 فیصد اور 90 ��یصد حصہ تھا۔ 2030 اور 2040 تک بالترتیب ٹرک۔
پالیسی کی نمایاں خصوصیات میں آٹوموبائل صنعت کی ایک مرحلہ وار منتقلی بھی شامل ہے ، کیونکہ اس میں دو اور تین پہیئوں اور بھاری تجارتی گاڑیاں شامل ہوں گی جو مینوفیکچروں کو مراعات فراہم کرتی ہیں۔
وزیر اعظم کے ذریعہ شروع کی جانے والی ای بائک کو ایک پاکستانی کمپنی ، جولٹا الیکٹرک نے تیار کیا تھا ، اور اسے ملک کی آٹوموبائل صنعت کو بجلی بنانے کی سمت ایک بڑا قدم سمجھا جاتا تھا۔
جولٹا ای بائک کے مختلف ماڈلز کی رفتار 10 سے 60 کلومیٹر فی گھنٹہ تک ہوتی ہے اور 60 سے 100 کلو میٹر تک مکمل چارج کے بعد فاصلہ طے کرسکتی ہے۔
