PM approved an uplifting project of Gilgit Baltistan

For the approval of the uplifting project at Gilgit Baltistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a high-level meeting on the development of Gilgit-Baltistan, which was attended by Planning Minister Asad Umar, Finance Minister Muhammad Hammad Azhar, Communications Minister Murad Saeed, Information Technology Minister AminulHaq, Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid, deputy chairman Planning Commission and other senior officials.

A historic package for Gilgit Baltistan’s development was approved in the meeting. Prime Minister said that due to development projects in various sectors, a new chapter of construction and development will be written in the region, where effective solutions to the problems of the region will be presented and numerous job opportunities will be made available to the youth.

Addressing the meeting, the PM said that the development of Gilgit-Baltistan was one of the priorities of the present government. “Gilgit-Baltistan has huge potential for tourism that needs to be exploited."

There is a need to pay special attention to tourism promotion and environmental protection,” the Prime Minister directed the Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister.

اجلاس میں گلگت بلتستان کی ترقی کے لئے ایک تاریخی پیکیج کی منظوری دی گئی۔ وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ مختلف شعبوں میں ترقیاتی منصوبوں کی وجہ سے ، خطے میں تعمیر و ترقی کا ایک نیا باب لکھا جائے گا ، جہاں خطے کے مسائل کے موثر حل اور نوجوانوں کو روزگار کے بے شمار مواقع میسر ہوں گے۔

اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ گلگت بلتستان کی ترقی موجودہ حکومت کی ترجیحات میں شامل ہے۔ “گلگت بلتستان میں سیاحت کی بڑی صلاحیت ہے جس سے فائدہ اٹھانے کی ضرورت ہے۔

سیاحت کے فروغ اور ماحولیاتی تحفظ پر خصوصی توجہ دینے کی ضرورت ہے ، "وزیر اعظم نے گلگت بلتستان کے وزیر اعلی کو ہدایت کی۔
