Plant Nurseries Booming in Islamabad

According to the details, the number of plant nurseries has increased up to 250, which was 20 to 30 a decade ago. With the passage of time, the number has increased dramatically and now there are nurseries in every nook and corner of the city.

The Islamabad Nurseries Welfare Association has informed that the development of private housing societies & residential sectors has resulted in the construction of new houses where people are more interested to plant beautiful species of trees in their homes to beautify the houses. Moreover, a recent requirement by the development authorities to include trees and plantations in the housing societies in light of the Billion Tree Initiative of Prime Minister Imran Khan has mushroomed the importance and number of plant nurseries.

اسلام آباد: اسلام آباد میں پودوں کی نرسریوں کی تعداد میں اضافہ ہو رہا ہے جس کی وجہ گھریلو باغبانی میں مقامی لوگوں کی بڑھتی ہوئی دلچسپی اور گھر کے اندر سبز جگہیں پیدا کرنا ہے۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق پودوں کی نرسریوں کی تعداد 250 تک بڑھ گئی ہے جو ایک دہائی قبل 20 سے 30 تھی۔ وقت گزرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ ان کی تعداد میں زبردست اضافہ ہوا ہے اور اب شہر کے کونے کونے میں نرسریاں ہیں۔
اسلام آباد نرسریز ویلفیئر ایسوسی ایشن نے بتایا ہے کہ نجی ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیز اور رہائشی شعبوں کی ترقی کے نتیجے میں نئے مکانات کی تعمیر ہوئی ہے جہاں لوگ گھروں کو خوبصورت بنانے کے لیے اپنے گھروں میں خوبصورت اقسام کے درخت لگانے میں زیادہ دلچسپی رکھتے ہیں۔ مزید یہ کہ ترقیاتی حکام کی جانب سے وزیراعظم عمران خان کے بلین ٹری اقدام کی روشنی میں ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیز میں درختوں اور شجرکاری کو شامل کرنے کی حالیہ ضرورت نے پودوں کی نرسریوں کی اہمیت اور تعداد کو بڑھا دیا ہے۔
