Peshawar: KP (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) and the Chief Minister (CM) Mehmood Khan has elaborated to the news sources that the planning to formulate a permanent policy regarding the promotion of the tourism sector is underway. The planning is being made as per the vision of the Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan, Imran Khan.
The Chief Minister has shared the information during a meeting that was held with the members of the district administration of the Malakand Division. While speaking at the occasion, the CM said that the Malakand is one of the most blessed divisions in whole KP when it comes to the terms of climate and the natural beauty. The truth is, the division holds enormous potential for the tourism that could help in generating ample income for the KP province and help in the betterment of the economic status of the province as well as the country.
Recently, CDWP (Central Development Working Party) has approved the development scheme worth PKR 202.412 million, whereas has approved another project worth PKR 17 billion to ECNEC (Executive Committee of National Economic Council). This tour package has been referred to ECNEC by the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Similarly, the lawmakers of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has also finalized a draft pertain to Tourism Promotion Ordinance 2019. Through this, the government would be able to promote the tourism sector and facilitate proper investment in the industry of tourism.
Mehmood Khan, the CM has also highlighted certain facts that the local, as well as the international tourists, are drawn to the naturally beautified towns and the areas of the KP. Khan has laid stress upon the development of policy in lieu of the PM’s vision to ensure economic prosperity for the locals of the province.
Chief Minister Mehmood Khan has also instructed the members of the local government to pinpoint all the appropriate areas for the purpose of tourism. Through this, the provincial government would be able to lay the infrastructure that is required for the promotional activity of tourism such as electricity, provision of water and gas along with the construction of proper road infrastructure.
