PKR 4bn approved for South Punjab Secretariat

The estimated cost for the project is 4 billion rupees which would be included in 2020 annual development program.

The summary for approval of the project was deposited to CM Usman Buzdar by his principal secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo. After the proposal was approved by the CM, it was forwarded to the chief secretary and additional secretary for further process.

As per CM’s approval the development scheme of SP (South Punjab) secretariat and Government Officers Residences would be carried out through IDAP (Infrastructure Development Authority of Punjab).

Summary content includes that SP secretary are supposed to be constructed in both Bahawalpur and Multan with a large numbers or desired departments which are as follow:

• Department of Planning and Development
• Health
• Education
• Finance
• Police
• Irrigation
• Communication and work
• Housing
• Agriculture
• Local government

All of the departments mentioned above would be working under the supervision of secretary. Moreover, independent offices for directorate and regional offices would also be constructed under respective departments

It was mentioned in the summary that all of the departments are in need of offices for their functionality, delivering services, and the residential needs of the officers and staff servicing at secretariat. But, at the moment, no such facility was available in the existing set-up at Bahawalpur and Multan which forced on the need of establishing such offices, building, and residential areas. For the construction of the above mentioned places, the suitable places are been looked onto and are about to be transferred to the SP secretariat in near future.

وزیراعلیٰ عثمان بزدار نے جنوبی پنجاب سیکرٹریٹ کے لئے 4 ارب ڈالر کی منظوری دی
بہاولپور: وزیر اعلی عثمان بزدار نے حال ہی میں بہاولپور اور ملتان میں واقع جنوبی پنجاب سیکرٹریٹ اور سرکاری افسران رہائش گاہ کے تعمیراتی منصوبوں سے متعلق سمری کو منظوری دے دی۔ منصوبے کے لئے تخمینہ لاگت 4 ارب روپے ہے جو 2020 کے سالانہ ترقیاتی پروگرام میں شامل ہوگی۔

منصوبے کی منظوری کی سمری وزیراعلیٰ عثمان بزدار کو ان کے پرنسپل سکریٹری افتخار علی سہو نے جمع کروائی۔ وزیراعلیٰ کی طرف سے تجویز کی منظوری کے بعد ، اسے مزید کارروائی کے لئے چیف سکریٹری اور ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری کے پاس بھجوا دیا گیا۔
وزیراعلیٰ کی منظوری کے مطابق ایس پی (جنوبی پنجاب) سیکرٹریٹ اور سرکاری افسران رہائش گاہوں کی ترقیاتی اسکیم IDAP (انفراسٹرکچر ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی آف پنجاب) کے ذریعے چلائی جائے گی۔

خلاصہ مشمولات میں یہ شامل ہے کہ ایس پی سکریٹری کو بہاولپور اور ملتان دونوں جگہوں میں بڑی تعداد میں یا مطلوبہ محکموں کے ساتھ تعمیر کیا جانا چاہئے جو مندرجہ ذیل ہیں:

مقامی حکومت مذکورہ تمام محکمے سکریٹری کی نگرانی میں کام کریں گے۔ مزید یہ کہ محکمہ داخلہ اور علاقائی دفاتر کے لئے آزاد دفاتر بھی متعلقہ محکموں کے تحت تعمیر کیے جائیں گے
اس سمری میں یہ ذکر کیا گیا تھا کہ تمام محکموں کو اپنی فعالیت ، خدمات کی فراہمی اور سیکرٹریٹ میں خدمات انجام دینے والے افسران اور عملے کی رہائشی ضروریات کے لئے دفاتر کی ضرورت ہے۔ لیکن ، اس وقت بہاولپور اور ملتان کے موجودہ سیٹ اپ میں ایسی کوئی سہولت دستیاب نہیں تھی جس نے اس طرح کے دفاتر ، عمارت اور رہائشی علاقوں کے قیام کی ضرورت پر مجبور کیا۔ مذکورہ مقامات کی تعمیر کے لئے موزوں مقامات پر نگاہ ڈالی گئی ہے اور مستقبل قریب میں ایس پی سیکرٹریٹ میں منتقل کرنے والے ہیں۔
