Pakistan's first-ever digitized population census is to be completed in August 2022

According to the news sources, Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar announced Tuesday that Pakistan's first-ever digitized population census will be completed over a 30-day period in August 2022 on an "as is, where is" basis and without the requirement of having computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs).

According to the details, this statement comes during the inauguration of the National Census Coordination Center (N3C).

The Ministry of Information Technology and the National Telecommunications Center would keep data safe from hackers, and it would not be done over the internet. The process will be monitored through geo-fencing and GIS mapping, Asad Umar said while briefing reporters on the occasion of inaugurating N3C at the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Tuesday.

While talking to the media he further added that everyone will be counted based on where they have lived in the last six months. To a question about the complexities of the census due to interprovincial movements, particularly in Karachi, Umar said people will be counted based on their existing location in the last six months.

خبر رساں ذرائع کے مطابق وفاقی وزیر برائے منصوبہ بندی اسد عمر نے منگل کو اعلان کیا کہ پاکستان کی پہلی ڈیجیٹائزڈ آبادی کی مردم شماری 30 دن کی مدت میں اگست 2022 میں مکمل کی جائے گی "جیسے ہے، جہاں ہے" کی بنیاد پر اورکمپیوٹرائزڈ قومی شناختی کارڈ (سی این آئ سی ایس) کی ضرورت کے بغیر۔ ۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق یہ بیان قومی مردم شماری رابطہ مرکز (این 3 سی) کے افتتاح کے موقع پر سامنے آیا ہے۔
وزارت انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی اور نیشنل ٹیلی کمیونیکیشن سین��ر ڈیٹا کو ہیکرز سے محفوظ رکھیں گے اور یہ انٹرنیٹ پر نہیں کیا جائے گا۔ منگل کو پاکستان بیورو آف سٹیٹسٹکس (پی بی ایس) میں این 3 سی کے افتتاح کے موقع پر صحافیوں کو بریفنگ دیتے ہوئے اسد عمر نے کہا کہ جیو فینسنگ اور جی آئ ایس میپنگ کے ذریعے اس عمل کی نگرانی کی جائے گی۔
میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ہر کسی کا شمار اس بنیاد پر کیا جائے گا کہ وہ گزشتہ چھ ماہ میں کہاں رہ رہے ہیں۔ بین الصوبائی نقل و حرکت، خاص طور پر کراچی میں مردم شماری کی پیچیدگیوں کے بارے میں ایک سوال کے جواب میں، عمر نے کہا کہ پچھلے چھ ماہ میں لوگوں کو ان کے موجودہ مقام کی بنیاد پر شمار کیا جائے گا۔
